Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
@BN.C .. All I could find on their website under latest presentations was a picture of slide 1 !! .. https://wp-solgold-2021.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/media/2022/05/SolGold-Presentation-Cover-Image.jpg
In the boards shoes, I wouldn’t want to complete any sort of sale without it being documented as a merit-worthy option / direction of travel for the company and its shareholders. Nothing to say it can’t happen in parallel even if the outcome is already fixed in the minds of those in command. Audit trail territory.
Much as I like the idea of £1.32, I have a lower target based on nothing scientific whatsoever. I used to have my portfolio on the Bloomberg app so I could be miserable and depressed minute to minute. Two times, a year apart, it glitched on me, once showing Solg at 82.5p, and once on the summary showing my portfolio at some silly total which if you worked backwards again put solg at about 82p. Clearly this is all nonsense, ides of Mars stuff, but when I posted the first Hannam note, it also seemed to tie in. A whiff of destiny. Who knows. It seems a stretch right now. I’d be glad of 50p, anything north of that is a bonus!
End of the day I don’t have a clue, and what happens and what might happen and what ought to happen are not the same at all in this life. There is a tide in the affairs of men that taken on the flood leads on to fortune. Omitted and all the voyages of our lives are bounded in shallows and miseries. Let us hope that on such a full sea are we now afloat yadda yadda
I’m glad it was all confronted and outed in that RNS. But, like the ABBA song, they’ve played all their cards now, no more words to say, .. but hopefully one more ace to play. It’s very much **** or get off the pot time now, as the pub landlord once wisely observed.
My heart wants to buy, my (risk management) head says enough is enough. I had exactly this same feeling when I bought £200 worth at 1.5p back in the day, couldn’t bring myself to buy £1000 worth. Boy did I regret my sobriety. I hope to feel that sort of regret again very soon!
… the ship is being steered by a significant core of substantive shareholders who have known form, and a lot to lose personally. Their intentions (as we surmise them) make practical and pragmatic sense. I’m just topping up as I can now so my own goals can be met by a lower exit price than the 80p+ I once hoped for.
Add .. Did we invite BHP onto the register or did we favor Newcrest as the better offer originally. I thought BHP arrived to everyone’s surprise when the now CGP peeps switched horses and sold their Solg stock privately to BHP.
Before you few crank it up again .. If you want to wage some kind of war of words, fine, but get a room. And not this room. This is a chat room for everyone with something meaningful to say about our beloved porphyry district. Technical stuff, political or economic commentary fine. But filling the airwaves with personal *****ing and messages on repeat just bugs the rest of us and we lose sight of what becomes infrequent perspective in a sea of squabbling. We are on the cusp of something actually interesting happening just for once maybe. Let’s just place our bets, settle down with the popcorn and see what happens.
Red, I do believe you.
What baffles me is why the share price is seemingly glued to 16p +/- a smidge currently. That takes some doing. Not the first time I’ve been baffled, and doubtless not the last.
On a personal level, I would be grateful if the predators would hurry up and start the buyout battle of the year as I have a house move soon, in the summer … this summer, not a Solgold temporal interpretation of soon or summer.
