We will see, we might be surprised. BHP results out today and they are positive at the moment - let’s hope they are ok as they will set the tone for other mining results
I was watching the markets over night and it was just a sea of green - so what's happened this morning, pardon the pun fellow fishermen, it's been a damp quid !!!!
Talk on Bloomberg about BHP, and Glencore giving special dividends and continuing buy backs - well forget about the buy backs and give us this special dividend we are overdue.
Asia markets up, gold and silver up, oil up, Copper up, Chinese market up - I guess we are going to have a positive start to the week - come on Fres and Glen let’s see what you got !
Yeah well you use a BIG fooken gaff to sort them out. We fish out of Looe in Cornwall and the Conger caught gets sold to the local fishing market and then exported to Portugal and France - they eat them as Conger Steaks. When you see what comes out of them when you gut them - you just think you dirty fookers eating that shite!
Mackerel, COD, Pollock, Ling, Conger. We sometimes go down to Cornwall and fish in the English Channel - heaviest fish to date - 76 lb Conger, 46lb Ling. Fish off the big wrecks 35 mile out - great fishing.
....yeah I also organise all the boat fishing trips from the North East Coast into Scotland for my fishing club - fishing daft - ten of us fished the Orkneys last year - good trip and had great weather.
....for boring anyone with fishing stories - I am afraid fishing is in our blood up here! Lastly NK a Yellow Dancer is a good fly for catching big fish at this time of year when there is less fly life on the water - it’s what I would call a out of season fly.
Yeah I know that way as I am familiar with the area. I will travel through the borders west using the back roads as I love the countryside. Our fishing club fish’s Scottish waters normally below Glasgow and Edinburgh - we will travel any distance to catch that BIG one !! ha ha
NK - what is the name of that fishery in Ayrshire - do a bit of fly fishing myself? Fly of the moment in our local fisheries is a Worm Fly - all colours ?
