I think the poor reaction to the data was again largely due to the fact that there was only USD 12 million more in the account than in the previous quarter.

What does the second quarter look like? Well, if I assume the same production as in the first quarter and a gold price of USD 3,200, I arrive at the following figures:

Revenue: USD 72 million.

Expenses:

22 million AISC

4 million exploration

7 million AFC Goldstream (finish after that)

6 million dividend

Total: USD 39 million

Cash on hand: + USD 23 million.

I think this could boost the share price again.

As of the third quarter, the Goldstream will be completed, and with a gold price of USD 3,200, we can expect approximately USD 30 million in free cash. By the end of the year, we can expect to have approximately USD 100 million in our bank account.

Really solid results at first glance. They've paid another USD 13 million in accounts payable. And the gold stream also consumed USD 5 million, although this should be paid off by the beginning of the second half of the year, as only USD 5 million remains. Accounts payable should now be at a break-even level at USD 32 million. Working capital has exploded from USD -3 million to USD +25 million... Damn strong...

Interesting opinions... I've revisited the 2019 FS and the 2021 technical report, and it looks to me like we're now in a phase where the strip ratio is slowly declining, which will reduce costs. However, we still mined 2.8 million tons in Q1 2025. So, according to the mine plan, we should still be able to get a lot of ore out of the mine. The ore in the stockpile should probably contain almost exclusively low-grade material after Q1 2025. I think THX can probably still get a decent amount of ore out of the mine until the end of 2026, and at low cost, since the strip ratio will drop significantly. If the LOM couldn't be extended, they would start milling the low-grade ore in 2027. Hey, they announced a two-year dividend. They would never do that if they knew they were already running out of ore this year.

The results are really good. It's worth noting that significantly less waste was mined. This should have a positive impact on costs. The gold produced and the recovery rate are truly satisfying. What irritates me a bit is that only 200 ounces of gold were released from the in-circuit gold. It seems like the choice is between high recovery and little gold from the GIC, or a lot of gold from the GIC and lower recovery. I think we'll see strong numbers in mid-May.

Yes, very reasonable statements. I like constructive criticism. In a German forum, someone also asked whether a fair value for THX would be a P/E ratio of 10. I only agreed with that if THX still had reserves for 10 years. However, this is not yet the case. For gold mines, you should go by the NPV. This is much more meaningful. But I also think that the upcoming news flow combined with the upcoming financial reports should lead to a revaluation. I constantly compare all gold producers based on their fundamental data and for me THX is currently the cheapest on the market.
