I have no idea if it will play out like the following but I wouldn't be surprised - JOG will appraise Verbier etc and then leverage the value of its 18% to finance a production asset deal of some form - I see little point in Statoil Jersey etal appraising Verbier and then Jersey hanging around for yonks awaiting Verbier to start pumping - that would be silly It wouldn't surprise me if Jersey's not even involved in Verbier in 12 months time - a quality management, plenty of cash and and 18% of a superb discovery - I wonder if we can farm-in to a Statoil licence already in production? All guesswork but very exciting to throw around crazy ideas

Yes, INPEX is my bet on the company that takes our 30% and I believe they'll do it before drilling starts....I could be wrong of course but everyone's got their price and the development of Beetaloo has become an almost national priority..Beetaloo isn't your ordinary gas discovery

NORTH Sea-focused Jersey Oil & Gas has underlines its appetite for acquisitions in the area as it hopes to make another big find in the Moray Firth. Led by chief executive Andrew Benitz, Jersey shot to prominence in October when it made the Verbier find with Statoil. Verbier is estimated to contain 130 million barrels. Chairman Marcus Stanton said yesterday: �Besides being of major significance to JOG, the Verbier discovery was also a positive endorsement of North Sea exploration activity generally.� The company said the results of recent activity suggest there �could be a material amount of further resources� within the licence concerned. Aim-listed Jersey said it plans to build a production portfolio via both organic development and acquisitions. It noted the cyclical recovery in the oil price and the current opportune buying market in the North Sea. Jersey said it had reached very advanced stages of negotiation for some potential deals last year, without completing any. ludeck's simply saying that SOLG is not a penny stock any more so the manner and dynamic of those price moves naturally change as a result of this I personally believe SOLG can double from here but you're not going to see multiples due to the capex demands of bringing these huge projects into play - the company is the dog's boll-x imho - it's delivered immense value to its shareholders

That pretty much sums it up ludeck - SOLG is no longer a 'penny stock' in the way we understand penny stocks to be. It's market cap is in the multi-millions with the share and its price itself behaving like an elephant rather than a gazelle - its dynamic has changed completely what we have here is a company that will at some point in the future enjoy a value-realisation moment - a bid from a major perhaps I've stuck my stock in the bottom drawer - I am hoping for a bid, fingers crossed cos these things can sometimes kick you in the nuts - I pray Mather doesn't come over all producer with delusions of grandeur about taking the company to producer status - that would be disastrous for SOLG shareholders - creative dilution
