Australia will not claim the crown of the world's biggest LNG exporter from Qatar and will lose its second-ranking status to the US within five years as the US exerts its dominance in the growing market, according to the International Energy Agency.

The IEA sees the three heavyweights supplying 60 per cent of the world's LNG by 2023 and increasingly battling it out in an international "tug of war" for a bigger share of the key market of Asia.

The forecast comes in the IEA's 2018 gas market report, released in Paris on Tuesday, which highlights China's "unprecedented" surge in LNG imports last year as a result of its determined policy effort to clean up its air quality by switching away from coal.

As an aside. POQ will not have a say in what happens at Beetaloo. I'm no expert but the idea of a pipeline financed by Falcon is rather far fetched. We are a PASSENGER, little more. Beetaloo is now seen as a strategic, some would say a political asset due to its size and value and what happens going forward will be dictated by far larger players than little old Falcon.

Falcon's an explorer not a producer. The aim is simple. Prove up what we can and sell our 30%. I believe it's that simple. Of course at this time we only have a vague idea of what's contained within our licences.

Yes, that's very exciting indeed.

I don't like the term 'no brainer' but if I was to use it I would use it in the context of Falcon.

An offer for our 30% with the buyer having to partner Origin. Or, a buyer of Origin in its entirety. Or maybe Origin taking our 30% allowing Origin total control of the Beetaloo discovery.

by the 65m shares award - this is an unusual level of generosity but it does beg the question is it an award with one eye on a possible offer for SEE from a bidder?..It's almost as if the Ken etal are conscious of a possible approach and are looking for a big pay-off to reflect their 'human investment' over the years..

'recently announced automotive OEM programs, as well as retaining this talent for future delivery of current projects and winning new programs.'...Moreover, i do like like the reference to 'winning new programs'...

I'm holding 235k shares now - not many but a bid of 25-30p will set me up nicely

Yes, we are a passenger in many ways. Almost akin to ECO in Guyana. Both are reliant on the actions and decisions taken by their majority partners....there's two options - hold and wait or sell and buy back in a few months time!
