We're currently valued at Alpala (after capex). All else is upside. Will Porvenir become a commercial mine (open pit) which is something BHP would gobble up?
Spoofing is illegal but you know I bet it happens. When I had L2 on certain stocks in play (takeover rumours and the like) you could blockers on the book. They were so obvious in their intent and without intent to offer...joke
The interests of BHP and NCM are completely different to the interests of CGP and Blackrock. The former want control and operator status of SOLG's asset while the latter want to maximise the value of both their shareholding and in CGP's case the sale of 15% of Alpala. All 4 companies are NOT on the same page in many instances
If this was Australia then great. Mather's strategy would pay huge dividends but this isn't Australia, it's bloody Ecuador and that imposes itself on SOLG's market value. Some may overlook the politics of this nation and its negative impact.
Let the majors absorb the capital and political risk of operating in less than clean jurisdictions
What does Mather actually mean when he says a 'low ball bid'? What does that mean in terms of pounds and pence? What does Mather think we are ACTUALLY worth in monetary terms at this present moment in time? Making vague references is meaningless
Whatever the truth the blockers at 38p are a reality and have an agenda whatever that agenda may be, be it intra-day trading or some other form of managed process though I myself don't subscribe to the theory that BHP or NCM or acting to nobble the order book
It cannot be denied though that the market's anaemic, almost necrotic response to yesterday's news was rather odd. I though the market had died ffs
'The 2020 Wide Bandgap Conference is going to be held on December 8 and December 9. Of course, it’s being held virtually, so like pretty much every other conference these days, getting there will be easy'
thanks to Colonel Drake and Iceberg. It's always a confidence booster to have people on the boards who are able to provide an informed insight into drilling results..to most of us it's pretty much gobbledygook
appreciated
but what will move the price is anyone's guess. A bid probably which is what I suspect the market is waiting for
