Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
Rather naive than ignorant. Buys show as sells if they are below the mid-price, as I have explained numerous times. By being below the mid price, they have the same mechanical effect on the SP as a sale, and are shown as such. Got it?
p.s. One could argue that the computer is not so daft - a few buyers seem to have been stirred into action by the drop!
I'm guessing that the algorithm is reacting to the 15 previous deals which were all sells, and to the low number of deals generally. A couple more decent buys will trigger a small recovery.
Good Morning Opti. Do you think that the MM's have a manipulator for each share so that they can play games with PI's? That's an awful lot of staff! Or do you think that their algorithms automatically set the buy, sell and share price - as well as the spread - all carefully designed to increase trades, which is how they make their money?
I think it's safe to say that Strat Aero (not Geocurve) has lost interest in drones but they might have done better in the past by being actively against them! This company has done well - https://www.dronedefence.co.uk/products/skyfence/
Maybe a new strong to Geocurve's bow?
Automated adjustment trades by investment "Bots" to keeping holdings at prescribed limits.
Was a bit worried for a moment - thought we weren't going to have a "skin in the game" this week but Lotto has saved the day!
"Some years back, all the online services thought it would be a good idea to attempt to list transactions as buys or sells, and devised a system - if a transaction is executed at a price above the mid-price, it is placed into the buy column. If executed below the mid-price it is placed in the sell column"
There are several factors that contribute to the difference between the bid and ask prices. The most evident factor is a security's liquidity. This refers to the volume or amount of stocks that are traded on a daily basis. Some stocks are traded regularly, while others are only traded a few times a day. The stocks and indexes that have large trading volumes will have narrower bid-ask spreads than those that are infrequently traded. When a stock has a low trading volume, it is considered illiquid because it is not easily converted to cash. As a result, a broker will require more compensation for handling the transaction, accounting for the larger spread.
Another important aspect that affects the bid-ask spread is volatility. Volatility usually increases during periods of rapid market decline or advancement. At these times, the bid-ask spread is much wider because market makers want to take advantage of - and profit from - the change. When securities are increasing in value, investors are willing to pay more, giving market makers the opportunity to charge higher premiums. When volatility is low and uncertainty and risk are at a minimum, the bid-ask spread is narrow.
If you set an "alert" on dis share - you needn't watch it at all!
...run...
Calm down, dear - it'll all be OK tomorrow.
If your purchase was below the mid-price, it shows as a sell. Always been that way on LSE.
I suspect the date is in the latest RNS.
Don't worry Jezza and bonesgt: The Bod have prevous and they have skin in the game - Allelulia! And they are not taking a salary! This share will really fly when news drops!! But don't forget btw DYOR, ATB, GLA, IMHO and LOL!
OK I give up Jezabel. I googled it but only came up wth something about Danish cookies...
Ah! "Skin in the game" ! Haven't had that one fot a couple of days! No mention of "not taking a salary" though, which usually goes with it. Mind you, not taking a salary is not necessarily a good thing as there is no responsibility to perform, no obligation. Usually a sign of underconfidence that the results will be forthcoming. Still, more warrants, so that's good, isn't it?
...and no one has posted " this will soar when news drops" yet - come on Lads, you're slipping!
Ah yes! The Aviva news! How much revenue was that worth again - can someone remind me?
Friday news is usually bad news!
