Starting with Blair years , British Nuclear was ignored and effectively destroyed (despite UK being the first to have a commercial nuclear plant in the world ) in the 1950s and no wonder why dont have engineers when **** like that happens

Once again the problem with UK PLC is: We develop the tech & all the associated money spent in R&D . But then rubbish at expanding it so that it could be sold to rest of world rather then pinched by a foreign power to make money out of it for UK PLC

GAS BOILERS DO NOT WORK on electric alone and most current houses in UK have GAS OR OIL - not energy produced from Windfarms
