;Thank you for your emails, copied below, regarding AMTE Power plc (the “Company”).
We note your query as to the reasons for the suspension of trading of the Company’s securities on 13 September 2023.
As indicated in London Stock Exchange’s (“Exchange”) Market Notice, available here, the Exchange has temporarily suspended trading in the Company’s securities pursuant to Rule 1510 of the Rules of the London Stock Exchange (our Rules are available here).
In this regard, as confirmed in the Exchange’s Market Notice, the temporary suspension has been imposed in the light of a deterioration in settlement performance following the Company’s notifications (available here and here) in relation to the issue of new shares which is conditional on shareholder consent.
As indicated in the Market Notice the Exchange is continuing to monitor the settlement situation and when trading is to be restored the market will be notified by a further Exchange Market Notice.
As you will appreciate the Exchange cannot comment with regard to the trading activity of any particular market participant prior to a suspension but we can confirm that the Exchange investigates potential breaches of the Rules of the London Stock Exchange and takes appropriate action. All on Exchange trading is subject to robust internal monitoring tools, analysis, investigation and the Exchange will also refer any relevant concerns we identify to the Financial Conduct Authority as necessary.
The Exchange is unable to advise you with regard to the position concerning settlement of your own dealings in the Company’s shares. If you have not done so already you may wish to discuss that aspect of your concerns with your broker, XXXXXXXXXXX - ' in an email
