Cranleigh - I'm hoping this news doesn't make the market jumpy tomorrow, but we shall see. Interesting that the documents pertaining to the application will be posted on the SM website by no later than 31 May. Will it be an agenda item for the AGM do you think?
Thanks Stokey12. I must admit that I was initially taken by surprise by the news and by the fact that permission for the MTS is only now being formally sought. Let's hope approval is a formality then, and that those Strabag machines can get to work.
Nothing more than a formality? http://siriusminerals.com/latest-news/news-stories/application-under-mines-working-facilities-and-support-act-1966/
Unless some big news breaks, I can see us reflecting on another uninspiring week around this time next Friday. I'd like to be more positive, but the realist in me won't allow that. Longer term though, I'm bubbling like the rest of you.
Personally, I'm a tad concerned we are over-hyping ST2 financing. Granted it's one hell of an obstacle to clear, but surely building the shafts and MTS are the game changers.

Stood outside the huge wooden access gates to the mine - plenty going on
Funnily enough, I'm part-Dutch and am well aware of the terrain over there ;-)
I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect we may see another flat day today. It feels like the SP is treading water at the moment. I wonder if the members of Sneaton Parish Council were given any juicy snippets when they visited the site yesterday.
That would do nicely.
Called it more or less spot on today. Can't see anything really perking up the SP before the AGM now, but you never know.
In comparison with previous day's, I think today is going to be a flat day. Can't see the SP being much above yesterday's close, in fact it may finish a tad lower.
Could well be, and I think we will now see the company take every opportunity to increase its profile in order to attract as many IIs and PIs over the next few months. Hoping that yesterday's article in the Telegraph acts as a boost to the SP, but sometimes things don't go the way you expect.
Sirius jockin!
Hope so - topped up my ISA a little earlier this afternoon, so a trip north from here would be nice.
Welcome aboard VininTheBin. I'm relatively new here too, but wouldn't miss the banter for anything now.
been feeding the SP Poly4?
It suggests to me that the City is confident of a major boost for the company on the horizon, potentially ST2 government backed funding. The mine site was alive with activity right through the BH weekend, so that shows a determination to keep up momentum.
I'll be snapping up a few more if the price dips below 31.
