Fact that Apollo pulled out of wood group as well suggests they’re being a bit cheeky with what they’re after when maybe looking at some of the SOTP of these businesses as a minimum really.

I genuinely think THG has value in abundance, it’s just not being unlocked very well

But then it is the norm in some US companies.

Facebook / Amazon/ Apple till he died etc and you’ll prob find that they retain a serious amount of control over the business in some shape or form, so why can’t MM

Obviously aside the frustrations that he should let the board do more of the running and maybe just be the ideas man, less twittering etc.

Plenty opinions so far re the vote for MM, and whilst I have every respect for what he’s built, his sole focus now has to be on delivering value to shareholders and less tit tat, and should already have done so. Though I do agree with his ‘opinions’ on the LSE and London will deservedly start to decline until

It changes its ways.

The recent write down and director appointments may be the start of the turnaround and grand plan, but it does need to show fruition soon.

Still a big event to come I feel though, nutrition is it surely going to come under intense demand soon whether friendly or hostile.

Retirement a good few years away yet so happy to extend this play out :-)

Plenty offers on their site, but at the same time I wouldn’t blame them for toning the offers down. They’ve done plenty price protection and with the macro changing slightly, they need to start to move the other way slightly I feel.

For me now Apollo have been knocked back though I can’t help but suspect that tale isn’t over yet.

I’d normally be bothered, but profit still there and more upside than down to come. That isn’t to say it stings little from £1.17 but haven’t got the time to day trade.

They’ll be a bid/offer and either they’ll be an extension to discussions, or a declared plan from MM to two private himself.

Just a waiting game for 2/3 days now :-)

Been some tripe on here. No news + MM’s playing with price and a few squeaky bums seems to equal no deal with Apollo even though no news at all on either side of the pond.

I’ll carry on holding till official news and if a no deal, then so be it and I’ll lick my wounds but still hold and I firmly believe there’s a twist in this tale at some point.

Can’t wait. Last real news was the RNS from THG stating Apollo were at the table, no news since to suggest otherwise so just 5 business days before we get the status update.

Media trying otherwise with no actual news just rumour. Shares back to where we started the week and looking forward to next week.

It sure had me twitching but only because I’m in a healthy 100%+ profit anyway and don’t want to lose too much of it!

Not good for the heart but it will sure have triggered a few stop losses which is a shame for any genuine PI’s

Just the waiting game for formal RNS then we can make informed decisions. Still got £1.30 as my view of 1st offer which will trigger a ‘go away’ moment from MM or Apollo coming back to table multiple times as they did with a wood group to improve.

66p before news if I remember rightly on the Friday close? Take a 60% premium (what they offered wood group) yet to be finalised and due diligence which could mean more (or less) - note they have no competition at the moment but then nor do THG yet.

On THG that takes it to £1.05 minimum and so not a million miles from now. Key difference for me is the business. All imho but I feel THG has more to offer longer term and will affect the Apollo bid, but also suspect they’ll be other suitors waiting in the wings.

Therefore I think they’ll be trying it on at £1.30ish, but we know MM won’t let it go for that as they’re after all the business rather than dragons den style “I want 25% of the business”

So either trump up £2+ and MM will think about it, or give a seat at the table at the lower price with MM running the show.

Still think another bidder shows their hand yet.
