Even you can see what is happening to the £ and gilts. Interest rates, and thus the amount we are paying back, is going up with the potential to break Rachel Reeves own fiscal rules.
She either taxes us more or reduces spending. The cost of net zero is over £300bn, are hydrogen project the future or is battery technology part of the answer?
All I know is that between now and March when the ONS issue the fiscal report, there will be uncertainty around government funding for any of what EPP are doing
I can see one solution being a less projects on a slower road to net zero, spreading the cost of fewer projects over more years.
