BVC, I think they’re now desperate for a deal, especially with the new president.

I don’t think a deal can be guaranteed, macron is stubborn and past caring. They’re banging on about fishing still because part of their campaign was based on this. It’s going to be hard to explain that it doesn’t really matter.

Do people think no deal with have a negative effect on SP? Or just have no effect?

Obviously a deal will pull up the market as a whole, just not sure on what happens with a no deal

This is an investment forum, remove politics, if there is a deal the market will have an up turn. If not, the uk May never fully recover.

Lets be honest we can’t be sure of anything, but other than people taking gains there is no reason to drop below 120.

And if you are taking your gains now you are crazy cos within 2 years this will be back at 300

Let’s also remember that Singapore have a free trade agreement with the EU and Lancaster voted to not.

Singapore is the logical site for cost and distribution.

I wouldnt take any investment advice off sites like motley fool or any others. They all have an agenda, your own research should be key. If you take some guidance from these websites read around the context as they are dulled down articles that are usually based on info that the market has already adjusted to.

They always state they have no position, but why would someone promote a share they have no position in? Why wouldn’t they put their money where their lmouth is. They’re dishing out promotion for the highest bidder.

These media outlets were driving down the share price not too long ago.

Im not saying don’t take any info but i would take what they’re stating with a pinch of salt.

With the shorts closed I hope this stabilises until more material good news is released. However, as I have whitnessed over the past 6 months I wouldn’t dare try and comment on where this share prices is going like so many others.

Also to all those banging on about the share price falling. It’s easy to say the same thing all the time and be smug when it falls. But then when it shoots up you go quiet, and then start banging on about falling.

Can people share honest views without *****ing and moaning all the time. If you think the share price will fall\increase, thats fine. But please stop repetitively saying nothing with it.

And I notice when people have genuine questions you don’t have answers, if you’re the experienced investors that you’re all making out why don’t you stop bickering and help the people who are not.

I was wondering if anyone could help my understanding.

When I took up the rights issue I ended up with 2 tranches of rolls

Rolls Royce PLC which increased in line with the market
And
Rolls Royce Ord GBP0.2 (FPD 11/11/2020) which shows as change -100%

Does anyone know why this is or if I’ve just completely lost these funds?

So is today the time to buy, if an announcement is made tomorrow it’ll either fall further or pick up? Is it time to take the plunge and go all in?

Yeah, rights issue will smash the share price but I think it will bounce once the damage is done. It’s the lack of communication or clarity around this that is dragging the price down.

The problem with something like this situation is that it’s so unpredictable when the world will return to normal. If a working vaccine is introduced I think the SP will stop falling but you’ll still have time to buy at low prices because I doubt the SPwill rocket up like some people are thinking.

If I wasn’t already invested I would wait on buying buy some big buyers could come in at anytime seeing this as a cheap share price, with potential for massive gain over a 5 year period.

The planes will go back to normal, it’s a matter of time. But until they do the SP is going nowhere positive

Did someone just compare the long term potential of RR with the share price deterioration of Super Dry. People’s comments never fail to amaze me.

Having said that in hindsight I’d have weighted a bit longer before buying in here. Got 3/4 months at least of uncertainty and then it could still just tank if the world ends. If you’re not concerned with short term losses/volatility should be a good price going long

Ah yes of course but now the discussion isn’t around shorting but market manipulation.

The world has always and will always be run by crooks. Just have to adjust and try and make sure you know you do your best for yourself and others.

All those saying shorting a stock is immoral need to get a grip. I’m currently down a lot on this stock as I underestimated the longevity of the virus and expected a quick recovery. I was wrong.

How is shorting a stock any more immoral than buying a stock off someone for less than it’s worth or selling when you hit your target expecting the price to Fall.

I wish I’d listened to casa and shorted, I didn’t, stop blaming others for your own mistakes.

I Bought in at 270. I thought this would have recovered/COVID having less of an effect than it has. I’ve had COVID and I continued to work everyday.

I guess I was wrong, I think RR may go bust, the UK government arnt competent enough to support them. Other airlines will fold and Rolls is down the pan.

I guess we can all learn a lesson here, we all knew the risks, and hoping isn’t helping anyone.

Can anyone help me understand what a UT trade is? I read an article that someone shared but I feel I need it dumbed down for me.

Today I notice that another UT trade of 7M was made.
16:35:27 218.30 3,005,878 Sell*7m UT

I read that the idea was to match the number of purchases/sales but I didn’t understand the impact other than it was used to affect the share price.
