Dorkingman- I understand what your saying, but I find it hard to believe that the decision to install a bigger pump was SS alone, I worked with lots of oil field company men, Slumberger, Halliburton who made the decisions on site, for them to decide that we require a bigger pump, I would have thought the volume of oil was there IMO

pokerock - I’m personally happy with what the guys have reported, people got excited when they produced photos of tankers arriving, the speed of the pump, even close ups of the tank levels and position of the valves, but we have been informed in a Ifficial RNS that a bigger pump is required and that is what will be installed soon, all the activities prior to the pump being installed are not easy to catch on a camera, especially the distance the lads have to take them from, news will be very soon IMO

The amount of perforations is calculated, as too many can create pump problems, IMO they have discovered more flow and pressure from the Portland, therefore more calculated perforations, larger pump equals more oil and therefore more commercial GLA

Evening all, don’t think there’s any reason for a RNS, as I stated previously, the initial EWT results from the Portland have exceeded expectations and therefore they have decided to increase the perforations to allow a larger ingress of oil, hence the bigger pump. The Portland has to be proved for maximum condinuous flow before we move on to the Kim, exciting times ahead of us GLA

Not sure there going for the Kim as yet, seems to me that they discovered the Portland to be better than expected and as a result decided to explore a bigger area, therefore more perforations at different levels, then retest with larger pump, more oil in equals more oil out, I agree with Pboo, they are looking at probably double the amount of bopd
