John Wood has clearly been mismanaging the company. The real point is that Wood is shirking responsibility for his own role in bringing one of the most iconic industrial businesses in the UK so close to the edge.

Is this the same Secretary of State who has just told H&W to 'do one', basically and in no uncertain terms, that we need to fend for ourselves and let the market forces prevail !!!!! If he wants to pay the £110 million Riverstone debt off and invest money, I say let him, we will build your Titanic II. The guy already has 5 million shares in Harl through a structured asset in Mineralogy.

I'm surprised that Russel Downs does not have an obligation to shareholders to discuss with Clive Palmer IF this is a true story.

Can see a big asset stripping in Scotland and flogging off IM to a team which will have political clout.

Its getting serious investment that is required and I think once the share prices goings significantly higher over time and revenues hit annually >£500 million then >£1 billion with strongly positive EBITDA, then we will have a fund raise which in turn will immediately eradicate all debt.

Harland & Wolff is currently involved in a judicial review appeal concerning its Island Magee gas storage project in Northern Ireland. Initially, a judicial review ruled in favour of Harland & Wolff, dismissing claims against the marine construction licence, abstraction licence, and discharge consent for the project. Despite this comprehensive dismissal, an appeal has been lodged against the decision.

The appeal is set to be heard 17-June 2024 10am, and Harland & Wolff remains confident that the appeal lacks merit, emphasising that the initial judgment comprehensively rejected the applicant's claims on all grounds. This legal process is not expected to impede ongoing discussions and efforts to monetise the project​​.

The Island Magee project aims to provide a significant portion of the UK’s natural gas storage capacity, utilizing underground salt caverns to store gas, thereby enhancing energy security and network stability during peak demand periods​ ​​ (Vox Markets)​.

HL are happy to sell 700, 000 shares currently at 9.07p which is relatively unusual. I suspect someone is collecting the shares in advance of some very specific news. I wonder what is coming in next few weeks other than judgement 22/009356/A01 😉

Si - No, but I do know vaguely, Conor Fegan and I decided to buy a few shares on the 29 May 24. No further comments to make.

I have a feeling and no more than a feeling, that H&W will have a considerable amount of 'good news' releases over coming few months :-)
