I doubt this will take long to sort out from a production POV. Getting operations running is clearly the priority. Even if the negotiations take a little longer, it will have to be on the basis Vametco is running because otherwise everyone loses. That bit will be crystal clear to everyone. I am not worried one iota about that. I think your conflation with some kind of political angle has no substance tbh. Mining is front and centre in Ramaphosas vision and BMN is a South African company at the forefront of delivering jobs and broader supply chains for that industry. To me that sounds like an attempt to make others think things might be more protracted than they will be. Equally saying the the short term SP 'will suffer' is nonsense and simply speculation.. Around here these are buying times....

Personally I think it would be such a great companion announcement to the listing to launch a staff share scheme. Great PR, great CSR, great politically and morr shares into hands exactly of the type we want owning shares in this great business.

Has achieved the wonderful result of a company no one wants to invest in. Even those buying are buying to average down to make escape more profitable. Clearly the majority of us left just want out. What a simply inexcusably terrible 12 months from our supposed CEO. He barely warrants that job title. The odd RNS does not make you a leader. Sustained demonstration of leadership, particularly in difficult times like these makes you a leader. Where is the guy? What does he do every day for this company?

There is an important distinction between the two events. This current issue involves Vametco staff whereas the previous one was a more general strike driven by a desire for jobs and BEE. This is why there is a SA discount - for events like these. Ironically when they happen that discount is nowhere to be seen. Flawed concept much?
