I'm fairly new to this but wouldn't it be counter productive to go through share consolidation only to dilute the shares soon after or have I missed the point? Surely debt or sale of assets/JV would be more likely
Anyone else enjoying the gentle ride up without any noise on here?
Not sure how significant this is but Ilika just started following UKBIC on twitter, a 20000 square metre battery development facility
To what extent are Ilika involved in this, I guess a focus on battery manufacturing is good for the industry but Ilika needs to get something solid in place so as not to get left behind.
I'm still happy being in this for the long term.
I was worried earlier we would drift below .3p but there seems to be a lot of buying going on today, is this volume expected after a fund raise or is this new buyers who see better value with the extra capital?
Will Ilika be forced to release an RNS tomorrow? Hopefully this rise has substance and not just pump and dump, I've been here a while now and the future looks good for this company
Even with Cunard cancelling until March, the ships will still pick up cruises around the med before then, ships will be phased back into service with reduced capacity for now but anything to stop the cash burn is good, get rid of a few older ships and this company is back to profit in no time
How is it worse than flying?
We're talking about one of the biggest, most profitable travel and tourism companies on the planet, huge reserves, this is a bad situation but definitely not the end for carnival, to say zero is the bottom I think is ridiculous.
I work on ships and have seen virus outbreaks happen quite often, mainly norovirus, if the Japanese government had quarantined people away from the ship it never would have spread as rapidly, cruise ships are well versed in virus control, however the situation on diamond princess was taken out of their hands.
There has been a number of cruise ships labled 'plague ships' in the past, with a reputation among seasoned cruise passengers but this never put anyone off cruising onboard them.
Started buying here, most profitable cruise line in the world, over 100 ships, coronavirus may well drive the price down in the short term but once the dust settles this will head back well into the 30's in my opinion, long term, break 40's with a nice dividend to go with it.
Nevermind...
If we stay above 180 today, should that be a signal to shorts to start closing? The only way is up depending on investigation outcomes, I hope.
What, if anything, in the results would be good enough to send the sp back up from here?
Would a sharp rise in customer accounts help at the moment or is everything dependent on FCA and getting back to a profit over the next couple of years.
Surely for the long term, the price after results day could be a good investment for the future providing there are no more suprises in store.
I've accepted now that I'm in for the long haul and may not see a profit but lessons learned for the future here.
Really? But you've only ever been so positive in the past...
I'm hoping for a big bounce up to the 20p range here, if we see some good numbers in the results, there's no reason for this not to go back to where we were a few months ago
Nice finish, next stop 15p
10p would be a nice milestone to hit today
With my limited understanding, I think it happens when the spread becomes to high making it hard to fill orders automatically meaning somebody has to manually adjust prices to get things moving again, I probably have totally misunderstood but nevermind
Shorts running for the exit
