The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Like you Rooky I have been in AFC for ages. First purchased at 1.5 p. Also, I spent an earlier life in professional motorsport. I agree that many would be keen to find out more details of how the cars batteries were charged. Also what powered all the support vehicles and machines involved in running the event. It was a great first showing though, and I'm sure there will be tweaks here and there for the next one. The dust obviously meant the final races were effectively decided after the first 30 seconds.
I first bought in late 2000s at 1.5p when i was working next door to AFC at Dunsfold Continued buying over the years and seen the continuing roller coaster of changes in SP. Have seen all the CEO's come and go from Gerard Sauer on. I'm not a big investor but I have learnt that anything can happen on the AIM and nothing surprises me at all. It's very disappointing to see the way this board has changed but at least we still have a few who provide useful information. I have followed DW over the years and although I know many of you don't like his criticisms of the BOD, I respect his comments. I'm sure other LTH's have got used to anything happening to this share. It's AFC and the AIM after all.
When I worked at AFC about 8 years ago the regulations for the storage and use of Hydrogen were INCREDIBLY strict. Every part of the system was inspected by an independent outside operation. I seem to remember a professor was the leading the inspection team and he was VERY fussy (a good thing of course). We had to install sensors and warning devices everywhere. Everything was signed off and it was drummed in to all employees how important it was to stick to the rules when using/handling/storing hydrogen. So 10 years on there is no need to doubt whether all the safety aspects are at the top of the priority list for all companies handling hydrogen.
I was working for the company about 10 years back and bought shares at 1.5 p. I've seen them get to 75p and all points up and down since. Call me an idiot but I decided to hold and hope i'm still around if/when sales take off. BTW i've long realised that this is the AIM and very risky. I soon came to understand you have to accept the games and sometimes illogical price movements. Sam
Thanks for the feedback from the product launch. Maybe someone could clarify something I may have missed.
For the demo AFC were using hydrogen from their stock stored in a cage at Dunsfold. If the EV charger is in a supermarket car park for example, I presume the hydrogen would be within the container housing the fuel cell and its associated electronics etc. Rules and regs for storing hydrogen are very onerous and so I wonder how many charges would be possible from the quantity stored in the container. Storing a larger volume outside the container would require a very secure set up and presumably a lot of H & S requirements to comply with. Thanks for any info.

Sorry to ask this so late but I have been out of touch for a few weeks with a medical issue. What is required to attend the open day on Friday? I have tried to find info on the website without success. Do I need to register or maybe it's too late if numbers have been reached. Thanks for any info.

I worked at Dunsfold many years ago and started buying AFC at 1.5p. At one point they were in the 70s but I hung on to them. Seen the rollercoaster over the years and decided to stick with it. Things are looking good(ish) now but I have to keep reminding myself that this is the AIM !
