Just a reminder of GDR's AIHL business that is more or less confirmed and should start brigning some money this year. DB mentioned around £50m/ year potential. The calculation is simple:
Neonatal ICU admissions/ year UK: 100,000 (200 units)
US: 400,000 (750 units)
EU: 500,000 (around 1000 units)
That is around a million admissions, generating around £50/test. There is no competition. It is not a cost burden compared to £1500/day cost (upto 3 months hospital stay) for these admissions.
This is the long term income generator, evenif everything else is failed. This alone can justify MCAP of over £100m long term. MCAP will correct itself once the rollout stats in UK later this year.
I hope this helps people make their decisions.
There is no point in checking the SP movement all day. We saw how this goes up with small news. I did worry about big drop on POC delay news but it did hold well.
I am 55% down, just to make you feel a bit better. 3 months delay with my plans but I know I won't be able to gain this much on any other shares if I move. Learnt to stay way from the screen for few days. Much better mentally. Confident that the table will turn soon and it will go up for good.
Interesting read Preefty. I suspect that takeover has been on the cards the moment BC got involved with GDR. The Cytiva capacity is nearly 240,000/day. @£6/test, that is £1.44m/day going to GDR (outside Danaher account). It will be much cheaper to own the company evenif they pay 10 times the current SP. All the other businesses will be a thick cream on the cake, especially POC. Also, this will be the way to make the product cheaper in future. I will be happy with 4 times at 200p!
