its NOT a bad RNS9 Jun 2020 10:54
may NOT be what you wanted to read BUT look at all the positives.
The Company announces it has signed a Supply Agreement with Mologic Ltd ("Mologic") under which Mologic will supply raw materials to enable Omega to manufacture its CE-Marked ELISA1 antibody test. The antibody test will play a key part in identifying people that have antibodies demonstrating previous infection with COVID-19. The Agreement is for an initial period of three years and renewable annually thereafter.
I've posted before, one of the hardest parts of testing is getting the raw materials to do the tests. The WHOLE world wants them. Not just ODX or any other bio pharma. The whole world wants to ramp up tests, and this Covid-19 pandemic is spreading by the day. Its higher now than its ever been. They have an agreement for 3 years to get materials. That means that ODX expect this testing trend to continue for at least 3 years.
In addition, Omega announces it has widened its collaboration with Mologic by signing another Material Transfer Agreement ("MTA"), providing the Company with access to raw materials and know-how to manufacture the following additional Mologic COVID-19 tests:
· an ELISA antigen test that determines the concentration of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens in human blood, saliva or swab extract sample thereby identifying an individual with an active COVID-19 infection
· a lateral flow antigen test product that determines the concentration of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens in a human blood, saliva, or swab extract sample also used to identify an individual with an infection
· a lateral flow antibody test product that determines the concentration of human antibodies in a human blood sample specifically targeting the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens
'providing the Company with access to raw materials and know-how to manufacture the following additional Mologic COVID-19 tests:'
That is the key statement, their products to market will increase, their technological capabilities will increase, how the heck is that a bad thing? more products to market means more earnings for ODX.
Granted the 100k sales to Senegal was a damp squib, but more importantly they have secured materials for 3 years in a contract, and got more tests in the pipeline.
