Tis 7 weeks since last RNS from Sareum. Just about approaching the longest time without an RNS in any shape or form in the past 2 years.

I am of the growing opinion that a non dilutive form of financial gain is looking more likely by the day.

The reasons being.

Funds could have been raised here sufficient for phase 2a funding.

Intention or expectation to have a phase 2a trial completed by end of 2024.

I believe that sufficient funds could of been raised to enable a phase 2a to be completed this year.

However, that l believe would keep 1802 on the back burner.

It may very well be that negotiations are on going and that Sareum seek sufficient funding to put 1802 through phase 1/2 trials.

It will therefore be in Sareums interest to push for as higher upfront fee to enable this.

The downside of course will be lower milestone and probably Royalty payments.

Ideally 50 million up front.

Our 1802 has potentially much greater value than 1801.

Current jaki market of approved inhibitors 21 billion dollars.

CAGR predicted at 18%. (that an increase of 3.5 billion a year plus)

Important also to understand that inhibitors with black box warnings have suffered losses due to restrictions.

Those that do not have black box warnings valued at considerably more. ( take a look at the 4 billion paid upfront plus a further 2 billion in commercial milestones and as yet has provided nothing exceptional in Psoriasis and has flunked UC)

It does indicate the importance and cannot be exaggerated enough that the safety data indicates that we do not suffer from adverse effects leading to black box warnings.

Our high selectivity of Tyk2 over Jak1 and Jak1 activity over Jak2 and Jak3 should take us out from this commercially restrictive black box area.

At what stage do we sit at with regards to an on licence or any other form of non dilutive income?

Are we in discussions with interested parties?

How long typically does these form of negotiations take?

How long do contract agreements take to write up?

For what it is worth l am of the opinion that a lot is going on in the background.

No mention of raising of funds via dilutive means 2 months after 1a preliminary results indicating no problems encountered with progression to phase2.

We may not get a good a deal as we would like at this moment in time, but will be be better than the continual negative drawl we get by some posters.

1802 is the biggy and whilst l am fairly patient, I would like certain compounds to reach fruition in the not too distant future.

New later stage inhibitors are the way forward as is repurposing some of the old first generation poorly selective jak inhibitors in a desperate attempt to increase patent life and pipeline income.

Jak inhibitors not new but later generation inhibitors are far more selective with greater efficacy and safety.

Yes there is competition but also there are inhibitors that have served their useful purpose and have or are reaching their end date.

Tofacitinib originally thought of as Jak3 but now identified as Jak1 Jak3 with Jak2 inhibition also was first approved for use in 2012.

It does have a very ingenious patent protection of 11mg per day which protects this aspect only extending protection to 2034.

In effect companies are gaining an ageing pipeline and will seek to replace this seeing pipeline due to later generation and more effective drugs but primarily will need to replace to ensure future income.

As yet there exists no CHK1 inhibitor approved for clinical use.

Recent development data with ACR368 is not available for perusal. Very hush hush so as to speak.

Clearly CHK1 inhibitors have the potential to serve an area of unmet need.

Eli Lilly shelved Pexasertib on associated adverse events that were not associated with SRA737

I would take that as a serious threat to reaching commercialisation and not diversion of all financial resources into a compound development to enable commercialisation as was the case with Sierra Oncology and Momoletonib.

CHK1 inhibitors are in Phase 2 trials.

If we take Acrivon that bought Prexasertib now ACR368 we can see development of.

Strongly agree with regarding Sareum releasing final data info on its own.

I would hazard a guess that any interested party that Tim and co have been in discussion with will have data in their possession.

The data that we were notified of indicates that SDC1801 can go into phase 2 trial.

The important aspects here are what indications do Sareum intend to progress into based on the full data report.

Until it is established where the potential lies then serious negotiations cannot begin.

There exist many more and an interested party would look at the world market relative to each potential indication.

Does a pharma want 1801 alone or as part of a deal a percentage of 1802 in return?

Unfortunately these negotiations take time and would suggest a fair way from concluding at the moment.

As we sit we have a relative safe Tyk2 Jak1 compound in the same arena but at a lesser stage of development than Baricitinib, Beprocitinib, Ropsacitinib and Deucravacitinib.

Very difficult to predict what a company are prepared to offer with the current info we have at hand.
