I agree with you on all counts there! The vast majority of investors will get burned at one point or another, key is to stick to your strategy and move on. That said, of course you have to understand and appreciate why some would be cynical.
Personally, I did as I said I would back in BPC (averaged down and increased my position). I’m excited about the future but trying to temper that somewhat and not get too emotional about the potential upside.
In fairness, maybe I’ve been a bit too liberal with the word ‘ramping’ in my previous comment, perhaps ‘emotional’ would have been more appropriate. I do agree with Willec that the CEO seems to have done a great job with the Chevron deal. If anything, I’m just trying to stay balanced and not be too swayed by the sentiment either way.

Unfortunately I’m a bit confused by your comment. ‘DYOR’ is a fairly common statement across the boards I’ve come across, so I’m not really sure what you’re getting at, or what you mean by ‘wolf sheep’ - or even who it was aimed at?
Looking forward to the next batch of news, will be very keen to see the results of the Argentina drill!
Honestly let’s just call this what it is: a punt.
There may be some promising signs, but that doesn’t make it investment of the century.
I can at least understand why the likes of JB would be cynical and cautious, especially after Bahamas.
What I can’t understand is why Willec ramps the life out of it like his life literally depends on it. I’d imagine that sort of obvious bad faith ramping is putting off more investors than it encourages.
I have a fairly modest investment, hoping it goes sky high. That said, I wouldn’t bet the farm.
As always, DYOR, invest what you can afford to lose, and don’t get too excited either way.
As much as it pains me to say deltalo, I think you're right. In many ways I want to wash my hands with this after the P1 burn but I can't help but feel at this point I can't get burned much worse.
Can definitely see it from both sides of the fence though, I got caught up in the P1 hype and it definitely became a more emotional venture for me than an objectively placed investment (valuable, if expensive, lesson learned). I would say for all the scorned, time to take a mental step back and objectively evaluate whether you want to continue this play or not. I understand there's a lot of bitterness here but that emotion needs to be removed from the equation or we'd never make good investments!
For me personally, the potential for the future and the opportunity to average down outweighs the risk of the company going bust. But everyone needs to make their own decisions and do their own research.
Im sure this isn't aimed at me, but as it came right after my maiden post(s) I'll just make my position totally clear:
I'm a total amateur here to try and learn more about BPC, the drill, and also just interested in the general discourse around the company. Not here to ramp or deramp and I want to make everyone aware that my knowledge is so limited compared to many in the chat, that I couldn't even if I wanted to. I have a very small holding compared to a lot of you I'm sure (around 250,000) but I have fingers crossed for success and not put off by the LO selling today.
Best of luck to all, especially the LTH's as I know there's a fair few here!
I've been trying to avoid filtering so I don't get stuck in a positive echo chamber of my own making, but for the poster in question I may have to make an exception. Thanks for the info!
I've been lurking on this board for almost a year now, there are some rampers, derampers, some loons, and some amateurs like myself... But I just peeked on the ADVFN board for the first time and it seems that board is somewhat more .... unhinged. A lot more negative sentiment and unreadable and insane seeming posts. Can anyone speak to that? Is LSE just better moderated?
First post here but I really must know your reasoning; if we are to assume that LO is the big sell, why is now the time to throw in the towel? Presumably whether we're seeing selling or buying appetite currently makes no difference, as this is still a fairly binary play on the outcome of the drill? Are you suggesting that LO know something we dont?
