If there wasn't a FO then they most definitely would have told us by now otherwise they would be deemed incompetent- even if there was an extension than this would have been told to us - because there hasn't strong assumption the FO is going ahead. Matter of time. People better believe when the news of the FO comes dont expect anything less than 3p here.

Too many people getting scared - if you do your research you will have confidence like many on here - The FO is coming but in good time - things dont happen overnight - winx and the FO are two different things so should not be mixed - the conventional and unconventional icewine FO has interested takers - the BOD have said these are 'high quality parties' which is a bold statement and wouldnt have been said if they didnt have actual interest. The extension was requested by the parties and has given the BOD time also to take in more interest - fear not will come good here stop worrying - and also dont forget we have YUKON 100% with survey results due soon also. There is too much going here and at these rock bottom prices wont be long before those who do research start coming in again.

A wire line logging report and a farm out are two different things. They are not responsible for oil found they are not god... but with FO its a standard development deal.

The Jan presentation spoke of having high quality partners with FO deemed as happening... previoua RNS have indicated the same... what more indications of a FO do you need.... DW made it clear the extension was requested by parties and this was a opportunity for better offers to come in whilst considering current farm out offers. News will come in good time. Whilst indications have been made that farm out is near, no indication has been made the FO is being extended or not happening so why are we talking about it not happening lol... 3p plus before you know it... news imminent. Stay positive.

FO will come in good time. They have made brave statements of high quality interested party... that strongly indicates farm out will happen. We still have 10 days... they will deliver.

Agreed. If your invested i 88e fighting the urge to press the sell button at loss will yield results imho... the farm out will set all out pockets straight. Stay positive. Overnight success is a dream... just a dream... patience is the key. Fight the drops and be rewarded with the spikes. Firstly its a cyclical share... secondly the farm out is near and the company has already indicated the interested parties are high quality.... now its just a waiting game and a very short one to as less than two weeks before end of q1

FO is happening - call it ramping, call it whatever you like, i call it ' I READ THE RNS AND THE INTERVIEWS AND NEWS ARTICLES' - so that how i know the farm out is happening - guys commenting negatively reading the f'ing RNS and you will understand why winx is nothing compared to whats coming.

Not long to go - 15 days till end of Q1 - and one thing i know about 88E is they stick to deadlines plus they have already notified they have 'high quality interested parties' - i would not expect anything other than high quality based on the location and history and current prospective resources 2.2bn - it will be big. Youve got to ask yourself why they delivered the WL news so early (way before the ten days) as the market has to wait to recover from one piece of news before letting the market absorb and reflect on a new piece of news so deffo feel confident with something coming before the next 15 days regarding farm out

Currently capped at just A$100 million, 88E is exploring for large scale, multi-billion barrel oil resources across the North Slope, onshore Alaska, and the company is gearing up for a significant amount of activity over the coming months.

88E has just bolstered its conventional resource size at Project Icewine, and now has 2.2 billion barrels net (gross mean prospective resource) to its name – not counting its mammoth unconventional portfolio, which also runs into the billions of barrels of prospective resources.

When it comes to prospective conventional resources, 88E’s 2.2 billion net gross mean prospective resource is more than any other ASX listed company that we could come across.Given such a large prospect portfolio, 88E must be closing in on a farm out deal for its conventional asset at Project Icewine by years end.

Aside from Project Icewine, 88E has a stake in the Winx-1 well, slated for drilling in February 2019. The drill target is immediately adjacent to and a direct analogue of the Horseshoe 1/1A oil well drilled in 2017. Horseshoe is part of the billion barrel plus Nanushuk oil play fairway – one of the largest conventional oil fields discovered in the US in more than 30 years.

We will soon see if 88E and its consortium partners can contribute to yet another discovery on the Slope in February. 88E has a history of being able to deliver significant gains for investors when entering into a high newsflow period, regardless of broader market conditions – and with a potential farm-out by year end followed by high impact drilling, we think that history has a good chance of repeating....

The explorer said there are “multiple high-quality parties” interested in partnering with it and that it has pushed back the year-end deadline in order to maximise the number of bid-ready parties.

Its not smacks of desperation - im trying to let the guys know the situation is not as bad as they are making it out to be Hu11 - gamblers come in expecting success overnight and when it doesn't go there way they get peed off - this is a perfectly stable company with a diverse portfolio and farm outs almost coming - we are at rock bottom price and truly the only way is up - winx was a tiny sideshow

Wall said the company was looking forward to a prosperous 2019, flagging a busy first quarter for the junior explorer.

88 Energy (ASX: 88E) expects to seal a farm-out deal for its flagship Project Icewine on Alaska’s North Slope in the first quarter of 2019 after interested parties requested a deadline extension.

The company had initially planned to close the farm-out process before the end of the year.

However, in an operations update today, 88 Energy said it decided to honour requests for an extension to the year-end deadline in order to maximise the number of bid ready parties.

The extension will also enable 88 Energy to remain within the logistical schedule required for the drilling of multiple wells in the 2020 operating season.

88 Energy managing director Dave Wall said the level of interest and the quality of parties in the Project Icewine conventional farm-out data room remained highly encouraging.

“By shifting the self-imposed year-end deadline for the Icewine conventional farm-out, we are maximising the chances of achieving the best deal possible for our shareholders,” he said.

Project Icewine, which is held in joint venture with Houston-based Burgundy Xploration, is located near Prudhoe Bay – North America’s largest conventional oilfield.

Icewine’s gross mean prospective resource stands at 2.9 billion barrels of oil, with 2.2 billion barrels being net to 88 Energy.

The company did not extend the farm out deal - the interested parties requested an extension but this should be complete before q1 2019.

Why the interested parties ask for an extension? Maybe because they want the buy out fiscals to hit 2019 accounts rather than 2018 account.

Im with you - if the farm out doesn't happen then sack the CEO - but very unlikely - it will happen. The licenses we hold are popular and those such as Repsol & BP who have current successes there will have no reason to try and procure from us. Don't let winx results get to you - better days to come - 15 days farm out news - be prepared to be pleased.
