Dont know which alleys you hang about in but i can assure you those investing in o&g have heard of 88e amongst other small mcap co's such as UJO, LGO, SOUND, SOLO

What you need to ask yourself is why 88E is not selling full rights but rather a farm out with a retained working interest... nobody would want to retain interest in something that has no opportunity so does that indicate strength of the site?

88E would have to wait a long time to raise the cash to exploit this site and with neighbouring successes the opportunities are huge. Check 88e website for map showing neighbouring sites. Plus, somebody is after the site - We have had more than one bidder which was made clear a few RNS's ago 'highly interested parties' and now we know its down to one whom are under the final processes before working interest is known by the public - as for protected negotiations .... who in there right mind would advertise the small details of a deal only for a competitor to come and offer more and seize the opportunity from the current party - its common sense. As for 88E being a small company ... its a exploration company so you wont see it on your supemarket shelves - i know for a fact many pro investors have this in there portfolio as there is more to gain than loose - look at the mcap and then net prospect on the controlled sites and then find anther company on the aim that has such great values (whether its there or not is not the point - so far the research as indicated them figures thus its the best metric we have). Still expecting that 3p mark post farm out. New usernames popping up as always trying to 'talk bull' without an atom of knowledge and clearly no understanding of O&G

Learningtoinvest (poster) you have a farm out happening... the whole point of this is we get monies to develop IW to complete the work here whilst taking a piece of the profits. It could be that the Farmee pays all working capital and we keep a 30-40 percent interest whilst the farmee gets the remaining... it could be a large cash deal helping us fund this work and on other projects like Yukon. Placing and consolidation wont be happening anytime soon, no logic behind it and im certain DW is not as slow as you. All is looking excellent so far. Waiting for this to pop on signing contracts news... its happening we know but matter of when imho think it will take a week or two. For the news. Anything sub 1.5p is a bargain here. Yukon update also due soon...

What a load of jibberish - People have claimed here that there will be a consolidation for over a year and yet no sign of one ... take it with a pinch of salt. Facts are farmouts here and we are just awaiting on the signing of the docs, some greedy buggers will try deramp to get the SP down, they always come when success is almost guaranteed which here is more than guaranteed as the signs are strong - holding long and strong for that 3p. 2016 saw weaker news added almost 400% to the price in matter of weeks and so many other small companies on AIM seeing multibaggers upon success... very confident it will happen here also.

Before the actual signing takes place - I would strongly assume a man of DW's abilities will no doubt have the main terms agreed in relation to interests and a fortnight should be a reasonable target to get the news of the actual deal. Its taken long enough to know it will be a decent deal and the secrecy over the partner usually exists where big players want to manage media - thus strongly assuming it will be a big player. Once again I hope its Shell PLC.

Final docs are nothing.... deals agreed. AWESOME! ITS DEFFO HAPPENING SO ALL YOU NEGHEADS NOW KNOW. No doubt many will pile on today ready for the confirmation of signing. Powerful stuff... really feel like these guys are slowly turning things around and giving me a great chance of an awesome pension.

Once oil is located and wells drilled the supply can be extracted all year round... the logistics are effected by the snow but when your making billions from oil whats a couple of snow plows running up and down. Fact of the matter is highly interested parties have been narrowed down to one .. and no doubt the bid wars would have settled us with a great deal.... now before the surge of the value of the company occurs we need the FO news which is inevitable as no companies spends time and money on due diligence unless the buyer was serious which in this case they no doubt are. Say 3p??? Realistic... ive seen shares spike with no news and a farm out in the oil and gas play do fetch a decent increase... if its one of the big boys such as Shell then we could go even further.
