Halving the share price since the SDL merger seems a bit brutal IMO.

Couldn't resist another buy. The markets are leaning towards the end of war IMO although can personally see that for a few weeks.

It does seem MMs are throttling buys, while allowing large sales. Possible large Corp buyer, or large short closing out. Certainly plenty of liquidity!!

True value taking into account the risks is still north of £5 IMO. Let's see how this goes now....

Looks like the bargain basement price caused by trackers exiting may be a thing of the past. Maybe we'll get to true value?

I'm personally expecting this to be between £3 and £4 when we get confirmation of the peace agreement being signed, and then a quick rise to £6+. The rise above £10 may take over a year or longer.

The Hang Seng index has gone potty for the last 2 days. Up 10% yesterday, and 6% today. Peace expected soon....

Bought into HGM, another Russian gold miner during the crimea annexing. That was a low point there and I kept them just over 5 years and they were 7 bagger. Forced to sell when a private company took them over. That was another RA company. Expect at least that here from this low point.

Did what expect to be my final top up here, and holding three times what I did only a month ago at no cost increase as I sold some on the way down and have bought at bargain basement prices.
Time to sit back and watch the news unfold. Peace in Ukraine, and a short squeeze here. Could be a good few weeks.

I think the company should suspend dealing at 7am one day soon, and lock all the shorters in until we have peace.

Not exactly gambling when the Kaz assets are worth at least a £5 a share. Lots of option without Russia although far better with the Russian assets as well.

Most likely shorters playing with it right now. Anyway, enabled me to do another top up. Freed up funds yesterday for a few more buys. Long term investment for me I must add, although happy to do a bit of trading if my share count keeps rising.

China urges 'maximum restraint'

China's top diplomat has (again) called for both sides to exercise restraint, in a high-profile meeting with US officials yesterday.

"All parties should exercise maximum restraint, protect civilians and prevent a large-scale humanitarian crisis," Yang Jiechi said, in a read-out summary of the meeting published by Beijing this morning.

Yang said that China was committed to promoting peace talks, and "the international community should... push the situation to cool down as soon as possible."

I am long here. My only objective is to be holding as much as I can when the bullets stop. However, I'm also not allowing myself to dent the rest of my portfolio further than the initial damage. So I'm trading daily, and slowly increasing. Its painful, and time consuming, and I'd rather be out on the golf course.....

Pointless question! The shorters will tell you why it's going down, the longs will tell you why it could rocket at the sign of ceasefire. There will be opportunity for all to make or lose money. That is the only guarantee.

My view on the issue with tracker funds. For most trackers poly probably represents less than 0.1% or even 0.01% of the fund. It will be tiny as we've already lost most of our value. Therefore the fund manager could probably wait for a suitable time to dispose. It won't need to be immediately. They will want to get the best price for the fund. Therefore I see that there may be some impact in the next few weeks, but this will probably be noise compared to other events that may shift the price. It is just my view, and I am holding POLY.

Also added a few today. The drop below £2 was totally unexpected. Hoping for a ceasefire very soon, for everyone's sake (except the shorters that is who seem to want this conflict to go on).
