Shocking update ...£5 at open?

Pretty dissapointing with the markets showing a wall of blue and risk on...itv is dead

£1 would feel like a dream compared to being stuck in the gutter...

This is what I'm hoping. Currently netflix, amazon or even Comcast might say the share price is still only valuing itv at 3 billion. Let's bid £1 and get the whole thing with studiis on the cheap for only 3.75billion

We are still only at 3 billion market cap...quite surprised really but then shouldn't be with ITV as i assume investors think this won`t go through

Theoretically should pop to over a £1 but given the history of failed hopes with ITV takeovers I'm hoping it doesn't rise too much so I can buy more...

If comcast pay $2 billion(£1.5 billion) for itv excl studios and studios is worth 3.billion, then that's £4.5 billion total & 80% upside to 2.5 billion market cap at 67p?

I just watched the Temple bar trust investor presentation, who are large investors in ITV. in the Q&A someone asked about ITV and liberty sale.

Ian Lance said he was shaking his head and it was Bonkers for Liberty to sell and doesn't know why they would sell unless forced to for a strategic reason.

He also mentioned that he doesn't know why someone like Netflix doesn't just take out ITV studios as its a fraction of their annual budget & easy win to get all ITV studios overnight (As ITV Studios is one of the largest content producers globally)

They would want itv studios...

Thanks contrarian123. I haven't read much of the posts today. I don't know why liberty sold half their stake but Itv studios is worth £3 billion( 10 x multiple of 300 million operating profit) and the share price of both itv and studios is under 2.6 billion at close...

I bought this morning into the dip. For me it is simply that the market cap of itv plc is below the value of itv studios, so the share price suggests ITV which makes 200m at least a year in profit has a negative value....so undervalued

Will selloff heavily at open. At a minimum own 3p (yesterday's gains) but more likely alot more as uncertainty again

Yesterday's big fall seems justified now...their was. Large run up in the share price but these results are a bit disappointing given expectations recently

I was logged in but didn't want to swell incase some new news we didn't know how just come out but looks like a strange fat finger mvnt and now stuck in this into the 90s soon
