Oh and while I'm in the mood. Why don't you just block him, it's what everyone else does.
My week so far. Monday, 12 parcels not including small packets and 400/500 letters Tuesday day off, Wednesday 33 parcels and 700/800 letters. You can get rid of the posties who do the job properly and replace them with mainly young men and women who have no interest in customer service and just charge round posting anything anywhere. Lots of wind up merchants on here who literally have no idea how physical the job is, the vast majority of posties are very hard working individuals who just want a fair pay rise. Trying to make out that we are all militant union men is just a sign of your ignorance.

I'm sure there's lots like me who enjoy reading this board but don't post much. Just like to thank all the usual suspects for all the excellent research and positivity, even CFP lol. 20% of my pension in this and 7 years till retirement....or could be 7 months, fingers crossed.

Price monitoring extension rns! Is this good or bad anyone?
Exactly this... unfortunately in the pursuit of more efficiency the workers and the customer suffer. It most probably looks good for the bottom line, but is destroying morale in the process. No quality of service, stressful working environment and high staffing turnover.

Have a look here, lots of information on the job, good and bad, mostly bad.

Ha, the opposite of what I thought would happen. You win some you lose some. Onwards and upwards
Sold my tax free shares today. My best guess is that the massive overheads have eaten into most of the profit and the results might surprise some people. Plus we've lost 95% of the Amazon parcels in the last few weeks as the distribution centre in Carlisle is up and running.

No pettiness for a few days... keep it up boy's and girls.

Most reasonable postie's only vote to go on industrial action as a last resort, but when backed into a corner they will fight for a fair deal, I think this agreement just about manages to avoid that scenario. There seems to be the possibility of harmony between the union and management along with the change that is needed to make the company more efficient and competitive in the parcel market. Trust is a key issue and let's hope that can be repaired at the local level, so we are all pulling in the same direction.
Overtime like never before 70+ hours a week, zombie postie's.
As an aside, ordered a roll of £1 sellotape from Amazon as an add on item, it came today in its own package special delivery.
I will say it's a small rural office in northwest England, the 5.30hr duty is pretty common round here, the result of botched revisions that no-one has bothered to revisit and lack of support from the union. As I said we are short staffed due to ban on recruitment so lots of indoor overtime getting booked just to get everything sorted and prepped. Excess overtime gets booked everyday by virtually the 20 duties without which everything would eventually grind to a halt, which tbh we are not far off atm. This is the reality in the whole of the area I work from Carlisle down to Lancaster.
Also forgot to mention we are just about to to start our busiest period of the year.
