The sort of deal Upland had with Europa (before their strategy changed) regarding 10% of Wressle would be ideal for us in my opinion, whereby payment is only necessary on a positive planning outcome. That would give us a no lose investment. If Upland could do it, I'm sure DB (with the backing of Humber) can.

Indeed Mix. Our alliance with Humber doubles our influence when any deals are done, so freeing up some cash from a dead duck gives us the opportunity to get a great deal as and when one comes around.

I would be quite happy to see the back of Holmwood. It's taken 10 years to get to this stage, and the TMP is still not passed. The council appear to have Europa by the balls. If we can pull out, we could free up 15% of approximately �3m, so could invest �450k in the way DB would like - perhaps a few more percent of Wressle, which unlike Holmwood, should go through quite smoothly from here, in my opinion.

He is Swampy. Just the TMP not the whole application - alternative parking required I suspect so amended TMP to be submitted perhaps, should Europa wish to do so. But can the council keep stalling until October?

If we have lost Holmwood, I won't be sorry. Nothing but hassle. My gut feeling is that at least one of the new directors has something up his sleeve, and we should know within a couple of months. M&A perhaps?

It's a myth that they can't affect the company, Biggleswerf. As an example, there was a lynch mob mentality on this very bulletin board to replace the BoD about 5 months ago. What happened? One of the BoD was sacrificed, and 2 new ones brought in. Was that going to happen anyway? I doubt it. The thirst for blood was temporarily sated.

As I posted earlier, we read posts like this on these boards every day, but so many investors think they are just disgruntled shareholders. Mostly they aren't. These bulletin boards are infested with Swampy's 'keep it in the ground' mates.

I suppose at least SMcS isn't pretending to be an investor, like many 'keep it in the ground' brigade who infest these bulletin boards at the moment. So many shareholders naively think all posters are shareholders. It's hardly worth the effort reading these boards if you want to find the truth about a company nowadays.

Jus, I recently wanted to comment in support of a drill at Biscathorpe (EDR), but my comment could only be taken into consideration if my name and address were made public. 'No way', I said, 'I don't want my family put at risk thank you'. So the protestors win because they are prepared to resort to violence.

No doubt an RNS will appear in due course. I expect the council couldn't wait to share the news. To be honest I'm relieved. Holmwood was never going to go all the way to production in my opinion, having taken so many years to get to where we are. Europa have bigger fish to fry.

I received a letter, the main part being: Surrey County Council were informed by the Planning Inspectorate on 25 April 2018 that the above appeal has been withdrawn by Europa Oil and Gas. As a result of this, this appeal is not being pursued and should you have intended on writing to the Planning Inspectorate on this appeal, you no longer need to. The application has been withdrawn by the applicant and therefore no further action will be taken on it.
