For what it's worth, I will add that roughly 8,000 people a year die in this country as a result of having flu. The government have inferred that if they can keep the number to 20,000 who die from the coronavirus, it will be a good result. They had previously stated that 60 to 80% of the population may contract the coronavirus, of which 1% may die. That's getting on for 500,000 people. Only 0.005% of the population of China caught the coronavirus, so pretty much there is negligible natural immunity in place to fight a reoccurrence of the virus in China, which seems to me to be inevitable. This is nothing like flu.

Mmmmmm. Different interpretations and emphasis on different aspects of the facts. The bottom line is we all need to keep away from each other as much as possible to save lives.
Markets always over react. People invested here have a different perspective on risk, and can't understand over reactions. We just have to wait until confidence returns. Those with patience will benefit, and those with too little patience or who have to sell may lose out. Just hang in, and keep safe - particularly our friends at Union Jack.
