As an RBD shareholder I am happy with this offer, but not keen to see it increased without more info.
BigBear, the DELT BoD may have no choice but to 'entertain a low ball offer'. They don't own the company, the shareholders do.

ttaa, I believe each drill will cost around £30m, and DELT pay 25% - £7.5m per drill.

Snaffle, that statement was carefully worded in my view, designed for the reader to infer their concerns related to West Newton, but if need be they could say they were referring to another project. Pretty below the belt tactic in my view. I don't think DELT's shareholders are best served by puerile mud-slinging.

I thought it was catty and insipid. I'd want a bullish rebuttal from my BoD.

I thought it was quite basic to be honest. A little dig about West Newton, but I expect DELT's major shareholders know exactly what's there in order for them to be interested in the first place. I'd be disappointed with this RNS if I was a DELT shareholder.

Mike, a lot of RBD shareholders think the RBD market cap is miles below where it should be, just as DELT shareholders think the DELT market cap is. Investors on each side will feel hard done by, but the new company could be a great fit. IMO. I hope it goes through.

Mike, if/when West Newton is sold, assuming this deal goes through hopefully we'll all be very happy. The new company could be very cash rich in order to progress Deltic's assets.

Mike, hopefully there'll be an update at 7am.

Desmond, I will add the offer is for £12.34m. DELT had around £11m cash at the end of April. It's hardly 25% dilutive, is it ffs.

Desmond, the share price will increase in due course.

Romania - ongoing, pre-production EWT suspended for well acidization - good potential.
California - increasing, probably revenue currently of £3m.
Corallian - I haven't followed for about a year, so DYOR.
West Newton - likely to be £1bn asset - 56% RBD - sale value of say £280m.

No doubt nobody will agree. But as I said, DYOR.

Hence why our sp is stupidly low compared to UJO ttaa. I did wonder and posted along these lines when the RNS popped up, fwiw.

My gut tells me they've got the majority of shareholders behind them already. Cannacord have been getting out for a while. Maybe this has changed the balance?

I found it interesting that Graham Swindells was a Director in Public Company M&A at Ernst & Young. He must know exactly what's coming, and S&S will know he knows. Mind you, they'd have lawyers dealing with this already I expect.

ttaa, I am very confident they know what they've got at West Newton. Very confident. If it's as big as we hope, Reabold are in an impressive position. 56% of the licence and 59% of Rathlin gives them the authority to be in control. If this goes through it could be very good for both RBD and DELT shareholders.

Some people perhaps can't see the wood for the trees.

This is clearly an opportunity not to be missed. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Look at the assets, the cash and the cost. No brainer in my opinion. But as ttaa posted, ' If our SP goes North tomorrow thats a sure tell tale sign also.'
