Not sure if any US airline is reporting but shall imagine will be fairly similar to delta.

Easyjets figures are out amd much better than expected. Projected loss 394 million. Actual loss is 318 million. All futures green today so at minimum I’d like to think we will go sideways.

Yanar, it’s not that big a deal. They agreed early this year on numbers but we’re falling short and unite failed to agree and missed the contract. I think it’ll be resolved quickly.

Could do with the ftse and Wall Street making a big recovery over night. Would help things slightly.

Trouble is, it’s all unprecedented at the moment so in unprecedented times the market takes a bearish outlook. UK will come out strong I believe once everybody realised that herd immunity will be reached soon. All these cases per day is building up better immunity alongside the jab. Thankfully death rate is very low. 80 deaths per day would put it on the high side in contrast to flu death the rates per annum.

Yup, totally agree. Deaths are below 0.01 so vaccines are clearly working. At a rate of 40 avg that probably follows inline with flu death rates per annum I think. Happy to be corrected.
