Aliay : lets put it this way
If the share price drops to 32p, and say you bought 3 shares
So, 3 X 32 = 96p
You will be entitled to 10 shares @ 32p = 320p
So your average share price after RI would be = (96+320) / 13 = 32p
So any thing above 32p per share now will result in an average price of 32p after RI
right ?
Thanks Toff
It is the "Blitz Spirit" :)
Yes, I agree, it is like diverting a river, you can make a bit of effort, then let momentum and gravity takes over.
I also think this RI had so many factors playing in the same time, it is a complex operation, and maybe it took the investors sometime to digest it before they started to make a move.
Good Luck and enjoy the weekend
"The big question next week is if Rolls can sustain a positive shareprice."
Toff :
I reckon it will !
because what said yourselfe :
"The banks who have underwritten the RI are supporting it through their brokerages. Set the algos to buy and watch it rise, even if the buys are only for handfuls of shares, they’re copious. And that’s good news for shareholders."
The more the SP rise, the more the RI will look attractive because of the huge discount set in stone (32p).
The more there will be buyer willing to take it
The less the underwriters have to buy of any leftovers.
Simple !

"The astounding recovery of flights in China is a reassurance that we may see a relatively rapid recovery in other parts of the world, once the pandemic is more controlled. If we apply the rate of recovery in China to other regions, and imagine the pandemic disappeared overnight, then we might expect domestic traffic next summer to be close to that last year."
