IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING MEETS.13 Mar 2025 21:20
I have organised an evening meet near the M6 north of Birmingham, on the 24th of April.
We are at capacity, although I expect that due to circumstances some attendees will inform me that they cannot attend.
Not all who have contacted me have due to circumstances been able to attend a meet I have arranged, so the situation is as I outline below.
Firstly all are welcome but space is naturally limited.
I see posters post on here asking about other meets but without knowing the demand is it difficult to understand. I am sure that there is a lot of demand for other meets but unless someone is going to organise they will not happen.
To date venues I have organised have not charged us, we do bring extra trade. I can see if meets are going to be bigger, and Guest speakers may have additional costs there may have to be a nominal charge, I would like to know if this would be acceptable.
In order to understand the situation I am happy to extend a simple list of interested parties (as I now have) but I need an email to ggpmidsmeets@gmail.com with the following information.
A general locality so I can map on Google maps to find out the area of demand, the reason for this is one pin on the map for Coventry which should be several pins in areas of Coventry does not display correctly.
Anything else that would help.
Any meet I arrange will first be announced to everyone on the list, from recent experience I see the possibility of the meet being full, the last near Derby was standing room only and this one on the 24 April looks to be similar.
If there at capacity they will not be posted on BBs.
This is the reason for this post as the lottery say "You have to be in to win" in this case "You have to be on the list to get Priority."
Please appreciate that organising these meets takes a lot of time and effort, I hope this makes them open to all and successful, as with all things there are no guarantees.
