Hear, hear. Not sure why any private investor would vote yes to Resolution 2 when its passing would see the share price fall like a stone into the New Year.

Hopefully folk have appreciated that they don’t have to vote for both resolutions to make the deal happen and are free to ignore, or ideally vote against, the second one.

Gordon1237 - if everyone has been honest in their responses on here (not of course guaranteed), 1.7BN should just about do it. There will inevitably be some no votes not included in our tally, so hopefully the final no total on the day will be 2BN or better. Then think about those who can’t or don’t vote. The more of them, the merrier - I think the dark side will be scrabbling to find 6BN yes votes. Turkeys, Christmas and all that.

Doubledrop - this was the wording in that RNS re the “proposed Gold Streams”:

“Gold Stream terms:

· Gold delivery obligations are to rank at the bottom of the cashflow waterfall after all costs and outgoings (including debt service), but before dividends and repayment of shareholder loans

· Each US$10 million tranche is entitled to 3% of the gold produced from TKGM's mining licence until 30,000 oz of gold have been sold under the stream, after which the entitlement steps down to a right to buy 2% of the gold for the life of the mine

· Gold sold to streamers at 20% of prevailing market price”

Presumably the excitement is because someone that was proposed actually appears to have been finalised.

Sajad - I would tend to believe the higher figure. I may have missed it, but would have thought that all this would have triggered a Total Voting Rights RNS - there hasn’t been one for ages, as far as I can tell.

Adding my modest 25 million, largely bought for the purpose of voting against Resolution 2, takes it to 959 million. Well done folks, that is starting to look like a meaningful total. Let’s get it to 1 billion today and 2 billion this week. 2 billion feels like it would be enough.

Retail SYN investors have the power to get Resolution 2 thrown out but if apathy prevails and Roland gets what he wants, they will only have themselves to blame for a further share price crash.

In the absence of SeemsLukeWarm, is anyone else keeping a tally of the number of shares that have, at least according to this and other BBs, now voted against Resolution 2?

Whatever happened to this guy? He was going to rally the troops and tally the votes, but he seems to have disappeared.

I wouldn’t say I am optimistic, but I will certainly be less pessimistic if Resolution 2 fails.

Only if the AIM cancellation resolution is passed, which is looking increasingly unlikely (thank goodness).

I just don’t see SYN being better off in SP terms in that scenario (which is not to say that I rate the CCS project). I am dismayed at the thought of anyone voting the Cambay deal down.

Yes it would. Utter madness. Do not confuse the reality of Cambay with how Roland has portrayed it in the past for share promotion purposes. Just read the data. It is hardly a world class asset. There may be potential for further exploitation, but the shockingly undercapitalised SYN is not best placed to realise that potential, even with a partner.
