J99MES Never fear, LGO's underlying business is sustainable at $20 WTI, apparently (FAQ 9). Hopefully LK will show his mettle by ditching that sort of misleading garbage.

LLL LK may over time reward the cautious optimism of LTHs even if he doesn't work out for the traders in the short term. It may all come down to what that first big RNS tells us about LK's attitude to shareholder value. This cannot be as cavalier as NR's, so prepare to reset your thinking on LGO - I'm waiting for that first big LK RNS with an open mind.

tigger24 We are waiting to see if LK can produce a magic wand in terms of funding, opening up new possibilities for LGO. I wouldn't though underestimate what he might be able to do with the existing limited funding and the current operations. I like his talk of "proper petroleum engineering" and "bang for your buck". It suggests to me that he may in fact be singularily unimpressed with what NR has been up to and convinced that he can do significantly better. While I'm not buying into the rampathon, I await LK's first big RNS with interest and an open mind.

TryThinking We just don't know, but LK is not NR, which is a good start, and he has talked about "proper petroleum engineering" and getting "bang for your buck". This suggests that to begin with he may be looking to make a little go a long way. If though he is looking to go straight for the jugular he may be able to access funding that is more shareholder friendly than the funding that LGOers are used to. Time will tell.

J99MES Not at all, I am a happy camper. As I said my trading pot is in TRIN and PHE because I feel that I understand what they are up to. If I had had a punt on LK at 2p when I thought about it I would probably have sold by now anyway. Just waiting for that first RNS and the dust to settle to get a feel for what the story now is.
