Agreed. I gave up on LK’s share promotion exercises a while ago and prefer to work from RNS to RNS - that seems to give a better reading of the trajectory that CERP is on. The share promotion exercises that I remember were a strange mixture of solid and sensible stuff that recognised the mistakes made by the previous management and how they could be rectified and LK then just going off on one (e.g. telling us how it was going to be 3p, 6p, 9p, 12p etc.).

LK certainly tells us often enough how smart he and his team are. They still badly misjudged Goudron (although credit to LK for having Spain’s number from day one). It certainly looks as if LK etc. are more competent operationally than the previous management but is that a particularly high bar? The coming update really needs to reflect the “bang for your buck” and “do it right first time” approaches really paying off - LTHs have now been waiting long enough for this. LK has already managed expectations when it comes to Q1 production with his chat about high grading so the evidence of real progress should be in the end Q1 cash balance. The last update led us to expect this to be steady at $2.6M - a big ask. I will believe that when I see it and am predicting that LK will fall around $400,000 short with a figure of around $2.2M.

No, the gorilla in the room has to the end Q1 cash balance. With the SWP to be funded, everything turns on that.

My suspicion is that Goudron waterflood will emerge as a damp (sorry) squib sooner or later. Possibly sooner - we may get some very useful insight into how it is doing if the MEEI Bulletin (possibly covering both January and February) drops before LK’s Q1 update - something to watch out for.

Agreed, the end Q1 cash balance in the quarterly report will be the key - will it suggest that LK can do a drill with a margin of safety or will it not? I suspect not and that LK will either place or will delay in the hope of building that cash balance. I think that while any placing would come as a surprise to the local rampers it would in fact constitute a genuine turning point (unlike the recent speculative rise) and should be embraced - you are quite right not to be averse to the idea. The old “debt for development, equity for exploration” mantra usually holds pretty much true (see e.g. TXP). Anyway, all will become significantly clearer soon enough.
