As I said to Starchild, and would say to any potential newbies looking in here, I really would look very carefully at the ex-CERP assets, how capital hungry they are and how much capital they have consumed to date, before trying to take any statements like those to the bank.

I sent this question to BPC a few days ago:

“Hi

I am a BPC shareholder.  Back in April CERP announced in relation to Saffron, where 3 of 6 intervals had been tested, that ‘in the coming months, we intend to finish our testing campaign’. That was 6 months ago.  Have any more intervals been tested since that announcement?

This is their response, received this morning:

“Dear Mr Annan,
 
Thank you for your continued interest and support. 
 
As you are aware during the middle of the year Columbus and Bahamas Petroleum merged and no specific announcement was made regarding Saffron testing during this time.
 
We can confirm that the Saffron well has been converted to a production well and continues to contribute to our overall production.
 
We can also confirm, as per BPC public announcement, we intend to return to the Saffron area and drill a further appraisal well as pre-cursor to a potential future development

Are you being ironic about Leo Koot’s £500M MCAP prediction or do you believe that the ex-CERP assets can still attain this level of value within Leo Koot’s timescale? To me it was just a bit of catnip thrown to retail investors by a salesman. Never a prediction and hardly even an aspiration in any realistic sense.
