The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
I see a non-regulatory RNS this afternoon has confirmed that the UK courts sanctioned the scheme of arrangement.
Oversubscribed - good outcome.
Tough morning to place stock.
It will be interesting to see how much they raise of the £20 million net target. The placing isn't underwritten and it's at a small discount to the recent share price. Let's hope Singer's do a good job this morning. The outcome will say a lot about professional investor perception.
At least the raise is clearly to fund the development of what looks like a growing pipeline. Checkit is in an interesting market so we'll see how things go from here. Might add on placing-driven technical weakness.
Interesting piece by Michael Taylor in this week's Investors' Chronicle - he has opened a trading position in Iofina.
He has written a good summary of Iofina's current attractions - there have certainly been a number of positive developments e.g. debt refinancing, rising iodine price, planned production increase etc. He also thinks the stock has a good technical position at the moment.
Nice to see some positive coverage. I traded this earlier in the year and made a modest profit. I have gone back in now with a larger holding this time. Also, for what it's worth, FinnCap's target price is 25p.

I have just voted all my Accustem shares in favour of the proposed Scheme of Arrangement through my HL account. It appeared as a corporate action.
I don't think I have any choice really - just want them to get on with a proper US listing. Not holding my breath though.
Sorry, forgot to tick the Strong Buy dropdown.
Bought some more this morning.
Good to see SRC making progress today on environmentally-friendly products - very innovative and forward-thinking.
Given GC's holding I assume it will all go through, although it's interesting that the shareholder circular urges UK holders to vote as the court needs to see some support from UK investors for the switch to the US.
My Accustem holding is just option money to me now - no point selling. As we all know, dismal demerger execution by the TILS board and its advisers. They should have held on to it, beefed it up over the last year or so with money from last year's TILS fund-raising and then spun it out from TILS straight onto the market. GC could do with some coaching from Christopher Mills i.e. Oryx International/EKF Diagnostics.
Just received this response from HL. I transferred my Accustem shares out of my HL ISA account into my HL Fund and Share account a few weeks ago at HL's request.
"Thank you for your recent enquiry and please accept my apologies for the delayed response.
We can submit votes for you on your behalf.
Please send us your clear instructions and if you want to vote FOR, AGAINST, or ABSTAIN each of the resolutions. We can then submit this in advance of the meeting.
Please do this at least 5 working days prior the date of the meeting to ensure we meet the company voting deadline.
If you have any other questions, please let us know."
I'll be voting!
I have been working my way through the shareholder circular for the Scheme of Arrangement to be voted on on 18 November. You can download it from the Accustem website along with a shorter summary document. Paragraph 4.3. of the summary states: "If the Scheme proceeds as presently envisaged, it is expected that US Accustem Shares may be listed on NASDAQ in early 2022". Looking forward to that already. As people have already noted, UK holders are going to receive one US Accustem share for every twenty UK Accustem shares - so it's partly just a share consolidation.
I've asked HL if I can vote through their platform. When I get a response I'll let this board know.
There is really no new information on how the company is developing in the circular. It is merely a document designed to get the scheme approved.
Hi Jack - happy to oblige just for you!
Accustem could be worth billions!!
No problem!
You never know, it still might be worth something worthwhile at some point rather than being traded OTC as a penny stock on some obscure exchange.
We’ll see.

Morning daveycaferacer,
I didn't imply I was happy about it all in my post, in fact I am bitterly disappointed and rather angry.
Part of the anger is with myself given that I raised concerns on this board at the time of the demerger about how it was being done but didn't heed my own warnings.
However, the problem with these situations is there is very little small shareholders can do to put things right. That is why I have moved on. I think I have made a mistake and been done like a kipper even with all my experience in the investment industry. Aghhh!!
I have been unable to establish how or where to vote on Accustem through HL and, quite frankly, I'm finally past caring. If there is some value in the future from it great, but I have effectively written my holding down to zero in my mind. So be it. I moved on some time ago.
I think what GC would probably like to is invest himself in a highly dilutive convertible which will be needed to "fund" Accustem for a short while. Something similar happened with Okyo I think. I would like to know what the institutional investors who hold Accustem shares are thinking - he may have a job legging them over. We'll see.
In a call at the turn of the year I remember GC saying that before listing Accustem they would have to beef-up the management team. Nothing seems to have happened. Perhaps the whole thing was just hot air to get the TILS fund-raising away. Anyway, this is at the speculative end of investing so you pay your money and take your risks.
Accustem was effectively my profit on the whole TILS saga. What a huge disappointment at the moment and what dismal governance and comms. TILS was always risky stuff this but the board here could have done much better. Should have sold the lot in July last year at 300p! So my own fault as well - too greedy.
Hi StarKnight
I'm with HL and I haven't had anything notified to me about Accustem.
I haven't held Tiziana for some time now so I can't speak for that company.

Many thanks
Hi Jack
How were we asked? I haven't seen anything regarding proposals to vote on.
Thanks
Hi Bluebelly
Just checked-in on this board for the first time for a month or two and I see you mention Accustem voting?
I can't find anything about this - have I missed an announcement in the US please?
I had given up on Accustem - are there signs of life?
Thanks
