There is an adjudication committee that meets on the last day of every month crotchety. My name has never come up.

This is complex, but in my experience buybacks have a positive impact on SP for Companies that pay a high dividend.

Using surplus cash, buying-back shares reduces the total dividend payout.

I am sure this is not the only reason that a Company chooses to buy back shares, but it is a factor.

Buy-backs are normally at a premium to the SP and this also lifts the SP.
