The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
This isn't going anywhere anytime soon Janoz. Two years before it just might be profitable again and you can be 100% certain that dear Lars, bless him, will come back to you more than once for another rinse repeat of the last placing. I do think it will eventually turn around but not beyond .1p for at least the next 6 months whilst people try to rebuild their trust in the inept CEO.
Oh yeah only two years until profitable...possibly
Still, didn't expect this to sit so far below the placing price for this long. I was reading posts from the day this came out of suspension suggesting it was going to go up by 400% that day alone. Well, still no sign of any proper news that will make this fly. Yet. Hopefully something will make it pop soon. 0.5p would be great.
Russ won’t have to Stock, the placing won’t succeed imo. It’s all a ruse to get the sp much lower and threaten administration…or accept this low ball offer which has been made by our new US partner, whom to date we have not been able to say their name!
If the recommendation is downgraded to conditional then it’s definitely game over because even £6m won’t get them half wayv through 2025 with a new monitor cash burn of £650k!! It gets them roughly to end of March or April and unless the NHS buys 35k cyp2c19 tests next year then Cheek will simply have to do yet another raise.
I feel really battered by this and have proven myself to be anything but a ‘savvy investor’. Back to FTSE stocks for me and Bitcoin. Btc has been my saviour after numerous epic AIM failures. EUA, EUZ, ZOE (now CHLL), VDTK, CPX, BVM and even Vast! What a cess pit AIM is.
What’s left of my trading acct will go into MSTR and btc and IF btc hits $100k by the end of 2025 then I may just well recoup my losses from AIM.
Yes, Franky I should have followed my own convictions on this but tbh I have always believed the products themselves would provide the route to success here. They may still do so. It's the appalling mngt that has made me post negatively on GDR. I sold out totally quite recently and then the sp shot back up to 9p. It's as if they were waiting for me to sell out. It was just another sign of how quickly this stock price can move. And so I bought back in, only to see it yet again drop and then yesterday's news. If I had followed my instincts I would have sold out once I saw Starres was right in just how long it takes to get the tests on the shelves even after NICE recommendation. The monthly cashburn and resolute refusal by BODs to reduce this should have been a warning sign but I ignored it. Basically i've just made a huge pigs ear out fo this investment, got emotionally involved at times. Let this all be a lesson to others. Anyway, my point about my sells this morning is not for any reason other than to point out the trade reports suggest loads of people are buying. IMHO they aren't. Both mine were reluctant sells but were reported as buys. Specific numbers of shares so I can always trace my own trades and how they are reported. Four trades now in total this morning and ALL reported as buys but I'm now out bar 100 shares in both my accounts.
I will keep an eye on this and HL to see if I am offered the 1.5p offer and consider very carefully what to do. If this whole placing fiasco succeeds then I think the sp will drop below 1.5p and will consider very carefully whether or not to buy back in. However, I think this whole sham is designed to fail and hand the company over to someone for peanuts and the BODs and all GDR staff keep their jobs. That will be Cheek's top priority, not retail share holders.
For anyone buying in now or staying in then I wish you all the best.
Correct Erueka. Exact opposite of yesterday. Sold out my last £5k worth at 1.94 this morning and they're both printed as buys. It's PEEL HUNT playing the usual games and helping keep the sp above the placing price. It's all smoke and mirrors. This is a massive sell off so don't be fooled. Once, or rather IF, the placing shares are all admitted to market the sp will drop well below the 1.5p price you've been offered as a special GDR 'thank you' for continuing to support the company.
If this is an example of how Cheek 'values' GDR's retail share holders then I dread to think what he'd do to them if he despised them!
Waynesmith - this is such a stupidly ambitious ask for cash that it's obvious to me they know they won't be successful and so have someone lined up to buy the company for even less than it's currently valued at. The mcap will drop by at least 60% more tomorrow. the fund raise will be unsuccessful and then Cheek will announce the offer to buy the company for, well, earlier today i thought it might be for about £5m, now I think they're offering it to someone for even less than that.
It's either that or they already have someone lined up to buy the vast majority of these shares who will then have a controlling stake and do with it what they will. I don't put anything past Cheek and his cronies. As I say, I think it's all over for pis now.
I'm off to drown my sorrows. Such a good product and I felt really good about investing in this nearly five years ago now, something that would benefit the general public long term and help the NHS. Now Mr Cheek, I'll bend over and take my reward, thank you very much sir! That's me over £100k down the pan
Oh no hang on, I got that wrong..they do like us. .the RNS states 'The Company values its retail shareholder base and believes that it is appropriate to provide retail investors in the United Kingdom the opportunity to participate in the current fundraising'
but only after we've shafted them good and proper. This kind of thing just can't be deemed as fair. It's no wonder AIM is disappearing up its own fundament.
Be warned folks, if you feel like investing in the retail 'offer' (I love that term) you might buy a load of shares and then they choose to show once more just how much they 'value' you.
Ah well. This is game over. I sell tomorrow at whatever loss and won't be back at any price. Bad luck all. I am really sorry for anyone who has lost more than they can afford. tbh I'd already lost an absolute shedload but stupidly put some trust in the new CEO. He's cut from the same cloth as all the other AIM sheisters
I mean, they've really really gone to town to make sure retail investors are hurt as badly as possible by this move, given it comes after the RF deal, which also saw the sp drop by 75%. Cheek really doesn't like pis does he!
I do so hope Cheek will be ousted the second this is taken over by who ever is going to end up owning GDR
'Why didn't they do this month's ago to avoid RF drawdowns????'
Exactly Slacker. There has been a long term plan to run GDR into the ground by someone. Budd will be connected in some way but all the GDR Directors are complicit. This kind of raise done instead of the RF deal, when the sp was 20p + would have been far far better. This is really crooked imo and needs to be looked into as it's now clear that either mangt were totally inept or...involved in this scheme to get GDR on the cheap whilst they keep their jobs and salaries. No wonder none of them would buy shares even at 3p! All a cunch of bunts
I don't think these placings will be successful. They won't ull this off imo and as such Cheek will come back to share holders saying 'an offer has been made to buy the company for ...£5m ish' and you should accept it or else. What a b'tardos
No wonder Russ looked so uncomfortable in that presentation. They must have all known this was the plan.
retail investors shafted yet again. AIM cannot be allowed to go on like this. It's bordering on the criminal
Why oh why didn't I just wait for one more day ffs!
Ha, newbee, I will be sick as a dog if that happens! BUt...it would actually be better to know there is at least some kind of a solution to the funding issues so I wouldn't be downhearted for too long...especially as July 10th approaches.
LSE trade reporting is all smoke and mirrors. I’ve bought 3 times today all at 3.4p and all over £1.5k. All reported in red as sells. True figures then shouldn’t be dragging the sp down yet again but that’s where the mms obv want it. All bent
They won’t be able to raise funds at this price. If they do at least retail will be invited to participate at the same level.
I didn’t get the impression from Russ that’s their intention though. He said ‘were we to do that…’ from which I got the impression that’s not in their planning either. Cheap buy out is my guess and some manipulation to get the share price down as low as possible by a C potential buyer? Would be easy to do on such low volume. Come on, Cheeky, let’s get it sold for 10p per share.
