The interesting point re RI is if it is under subscribed by substantial % (30%-50%) !

eg of recent RI: Whitbread PLC received a 91.4% take-up for its deeply-discounted 1-for-2 £1bn rights issue that was priced at 1,500p a share. early june. WTB Chart interesting insight to TERP.

You dont have to buy the rights you are entitled to you can sell them eg if i have 3 shares now then i am entitled to buy 10 more under the RI. I can decide to stick with my 3 and sell the 10 They are marketable before ex rights SP

time to set up some stop losses imo.

The key factor in deciding whether or not to take up your rights is what RR using the new money for. EG Paying down debt be a good idea as it will make shareholding less risky which should be positive forSP.
Even better is if the cash can be put to good use invested in a profitable new business

I totally agree, fundamentals are key long term, day traders' and their charts work too because so so many use them and as such the buy signals or sell signals they see on them inform their buys sells regardless of fundamentals and you can use this to trade too knowing this snippit..risky mind
