Like all governments when their policies have failed, they look at easy money to take from others. This will be temporary as punters stop buying shares if their profits are taxed more outside a pension or ISA. After the money stops coming in. they will start to tax other things which are easy pickings. Pensions will be on the list sooner or later as these people are legal vultures. Where do You go from here to invest where the vultures can`t steal your kill ? Cant see any other party being any better once it becomes an income for them.
Ex divi date is 24th Aug. Record date is 25th Aug. To Me, that means You have to hold the share until close of play on the 24th, otherwise if You sell Tomorrow, then You wont get the dividend. Will still go down Tomorrow though as punters will sell out thinking that they can buy back in again and still get the dividend. Thats how I perceive it in that You need to hold on to be legible for the dividend and sell on the 25th to still receive it. Please correct if I am wrong.
You were correct regarding going under £ 20. Hope the latest broker rating stops it dipping any further. Should have waited before buying Yesterday as mining sector not looking good for now, but so difficult to know where the bottom is. Would be very rich if I worked that one out.
Hope not, piled in Today. Would have thought punters would be stocking up Tomorrow for ex-divi date on Friday and hoped for rise in S.P. Interest rate doubts sinking just about everything and the herd follows the panic brigade. Still in at a decent price though if it goes down further and will have to hold a bit longer than planned. See who`s correct Tomorrow ? I predict a rise......
Ubik: This will recover and is caught up in general panic selling as normal. (FTSE 100 manipulated clearout). Watch the funds start buying back into this one when the panic selling is done. Looking at long term chart, this is a great price range to buy into. Probably will go lower, but that`s the time to buy and hold. Looking for a 20% profit on this one including dividends. Think this is a realistic target.
HalfMan: Appreciate Your wisdom and advice, but I`m quite happy to invest at these levels.
Welcome on board Ubik. Thought i`d put some of my profits from REVB into something more stable ????? Trouble with Me was that I have a stack of cash and should have bought into this at lower amounts or waited until a true bottom has been reached. Now down a few £k and an average of £9.45 after Todays top up. Did very well from REVB and am sure that this one will come good eventually. Hope I dont have to wait another 10 Months like REVB. Good luck with this one. Totally out of REVB now seeing price dropping. Bit like this one......
Downtime: Biggest profit i`ve ever had and at one stage thought i`d lost my stake when it got locked in the suspension so was feeling rather sick during this period and annoyed because i`d got carried away with the day trading. Yes its a free trade in a way now, but still a lot of money to most and am going to trade a lot more tighly now, more so with AIM shares. Nerves arn`t as cool anymore and big losses make me ill....
Think You have done the right move T.B.H. and ensures that You have banked a profit regardless if it moves back up or down.. A profit is a profit no matter how much it is. Have done the same here though. Banked around £112k profit and now back in with a £15K stake as this could double in price. Worth the risks IMO.
Sad to see this happen. How many companies selling REVB products will still want to work with them given BOO`s history of management. Hope your taking profits while You can as they will eventually ruin this as they have done with ALL others they have been involved in. See You when it`s around 17p...Been nice to have gone on a long journey with most of You, but the show is over.
Silverlight. Wasn`t an easy decision selling out and yes, I have probably sold out too early. Was initially in it for day trading but have become attached to REVB during the suspension and really want it to thrive. Cant be doing with BOO involved though. Stuck half of profits in OSB so not too bad a swop. Hope to see You Guys calling Me a loser soon when the real value of REVB comes in. G.L.
Why have BOO in the chairs when all they do is destruct. Hope i`m wrong, but BOO want this Co at as low price as possible.
Sad to sell up, but have made decent profit and hope that all goes well for REVB. Will be following this one though....
Compromise ? This can only mean that BOO will want to have 2 on the board in return for dropping all other proposals.
Out totally this Morning after seeing direction of S.P. Hope You remainers get a good agreement between the Two but I dont trust BOO at all.
Hopin: You have a valid point there depending at what prices punters got in at before suspension. Mine where from below 8p to 25p I recall with lots of day trading in between. Got caught out with the suspension after buying in that day looking to exit as soon as a profit was made. Just happy that the Co is back on track and allowed to grow without BOO trying to decimate what has already been achieved. Agree with other comment in that this Co could be massive and BOO are well aware of this. Holding my remaining shares for the ride as this current S.P. is too low.
That`s a personal decision IMO. Depends if you can handle any losses should the SP tank for whatever reason. It`s paid off for a lot of punters buying in before suspension, any was a very high risk at the time.
Just make sure You dont get wiped out in one share should it bomb and spread your risks. Invest an amount You are prepared to lose is my guidance, although I got carried away with REVB and put in far to much than I should have done. Paid off this time, but was a reminder for Me.
Why do You think thay want the current board out... They will trash the Company and offer a pitiful price, probably made up with most of their crappy shares that nobody wants anymore. Obtaining REVB would be great for them, but they have no regard for current holders of REVB.
As I said, BH will be well aware of their intentions and will be putting things in place to stop BOO taking over this Co without a decent offer. Have a look at the history of the proposed board changes by BOO and see if they are the right people to manage REVB. Think I`ll stick with BH & Co.
