RE: home testing study15 May 2020 20:18
Thank you very much for signing up to the REACT2 COVID-19 home testing research study run by Imperial College London and Ipsos MORI. We have received significant interest from volunteers like you to take part in the study and we wanted to let you know that this might lead to some slight delay in getting the testing materials to you.
We are evaluating a number of antibody tests to understand how easy people find them to use at home. Your participation and feedback on the antibody test you receive will help us to improve the way people do antibody testing at home.
Once you get the test, please read all the instructions provided very carefully. As described in the invitation letter you received, you should not change your behaviour based on the test result as it may not be accurate. We are asking you to try out this test ONLY to understand how easy it is to use, not to provide an individual test result. This means a positive test does not necessarily mean you have had COVID-19 and a negative test does not necessarily mean that you have not had COVID-19. Whatever your test result, it is important that you continue to follow the current Government advice that applies to you.
Again thank you for your interest and your test kit materials will be with you shortly.
Best regards,
The REACT Study Team
