I requested a sample of Poly4 from our company last week and have just received it. The sample probably will only be enough to try on one crop next year. There was no application leaflet with it so am wondering has anyone tried it before and which crop reacted best?

Just received a newsletter from ICL giving results of their polysulphate container trials focussed on alfalpha crops for Brazil. It says polysulphate used alone or in a combination gave rise to significant higher biomass yields. This product never lets us down.

I cannot imagine the size of the 250k tonnes stock pile. Where I worked we operated an NPK granulation plant and an ammonium nitrate plant with 24 hour continuous production and it took two and a half months to produce that amount. We used to estimate the size of our potash pile which was around 800 tonnes and that was a huge pile.

Scotman I don't know about 3 square meals from anarchy but I think the government needs to be very careful with what they say and do at this point in our evolution.

I hold 60% SXX but well down at the moment. We were always told not to be overweight in any single stock. Time will tell if we have been reckless.

Thanks for the info and I will look at them later. My local fertiliser distributor Wynnstay Farmers does have polysulphate on offer. I am trying to think up an excuse to go and see them to ask them how polysulphate sales are going.

I would love to hear the views of large farmers / farm managers who run thousands of acres of land. Years ago I used to meet such people and was always very impressed by their technical and practical knowledge re anything to do with farming.

Myo looked at all the links you posted earlier and grateful to you. Bits were a bit technical for me but overall Poly4 looks fantastic. But don't forget our Company is projecting what it wants to get across. Must admit I have yet to read anything negative. If Poly4 can really achieve all these benefits then it must become a winner. The articles I have read on Polysulphate are also very positive. I would like to hear any negative views from chemists or farmers who have real misgivings to get a balance.

Just received an email telling me about ICLs new Polysulphate logo. I suppose all new advertising is eventually good for us too.
