It is certainly an interesting company. I bought in last week based on the settling down of Fortum buy in to 73%. I wonder if uniper will sell the russian assets...gut feeling.
This was hinted at by Fortum. Then the cash windfall plus German Gov money will come in to play then I think. If this is on the cards then why wouldn't Fortum take the lot ?
Streamline all costs and bob's ya uncle. In these extremely tough times M&A will get stronger and stronger. I do believe it will be diff for itm to remain independant as Linde / BOC are huge and why spread the wealth generation ? Mr Smith may well be right but is that best for the sp ? Discounts in tough times also apply but generally I would expect a premium to be paid for itm and the like...uniper.

Fortum now own 73.4% of Uniper and are focused after 2020 on Hydrogen gas supply becoming the main turn around point to address.
I would imagine the billions that EU & UK are throwing at renewables would be one of the keys to the potential growrh and supercharged Q1 growth for 2020.

Fortum up to €6.5 Billion so far. They want in to the MAJOR German infrastructure changes from brown coal power and supply to new supply chains and GREEN Power revolution.

The company has already built the first power-to-gas plant in Falkenhagen in 2013, followed by another one in Hamburg in 2015. Uniper added a methanisation plant to the Falkenhagen plant in 2018. In addition, Uniper is pushing forward cross-sector industrial projects together with refineries and the automotive industry with various real-life laboratory projects, which could make it possible to enter hydrogen production at market conditions in the near future."

Committing to an important initial financial package and tax exemptions is of the essence to support the start of the hydrogen economy, an essential element for developing a sustainable energy future. This is the right signal at the right time. With the coalition’s compromise, we are convinced that the hydrogen strategy will now also be adopted shortly – hydrogen will be a central key to decarbonize most sectors”.

"In its forecast for full-year 2020 Uniper continues to expect adjusted EBIT of between €750 million and €1 billion and adjusted net income of between €550 to €800 million. The company aims for a dividend payout of €500 million for the 2020 financial year."

"Uniper delivered a strong operating performance in the first quarter of 2020, recording adjusted EBIT of €651 million. Its earnings therefore significantly surpassed the prior-year figure of €185 million. The increase is mainly attributable to the company’s gas business."

Well worth taking a long look at ! Closing OR Converting ALL their coal fired power in Germany WITHIN 5 years with help from Fortum buy 75% of the company and focusing on GREEN HYDROGEN & some Brown Hydrogen.

Sp after such a rapid rise seems to be settling in to a new 18-20 range. Forming hopefully a great base ready for the news that is a bit late.

Dr Koltsov Graphene / Graphite interview. Previously posted, but posting on a hydrogen forum was told graphene / graphite was a unicorn and graphene was found by luck so will never happen with others chipping in that it would be 3-5 years before anything worth while happened !
What a load of horse doodoo !!! As we know on here Graphene is already in use in the wider world. Narrow minded investors just do not learn. A great video here for those who are NEWBIES ( regular posters will have seen this ).
Very good for those who would like to understand the time scales , qualities and issue's in getting industrial design through ISO and world standard scrutiny , also with a few hints at how countries view general development.
