Kathimerini writes: "Troubled Italy may opt out of loan for Greece" The rise in Italy's borrowing costs may put in doubt its participation in the next tranche of the Greek bailout in September, eurozone officials said. In a conference call of eurozone finance officials on Thursday, during which the next tranche of emergency loans for Greece was discussed, Italy said it might have to use the «step-out» option in September if its own financing costs rise higher the those on the Greek loans. made me laugh - agree EU wants to go long but we will see - nothing ventured nothing gained though! Better to take the plunge.
Morning S - we both posted same thoughts at same time - bit slow at thinking about mine! Re EU agree tempted on a long, as Indices dropped so much must be some pull back.
S - now S&P below 1300 not looking good for indices etc - agree possible H&S heading down to 1250 area now. Agree EU 14260 good support level on EU.
Intresting artilce on gold - http://www.moneyweek.com/online-trading/spread-betting/sb-blog/the-tide-has-turned-for-gold-54828
sorry typo - meant 1.4269 - less haste next time!
1.4169 was 38.2 retrace on EU from bottom on 12Jul11 to top on 27Jul11. Also 1.4284 is weekly pivot
HI F4/Farmer - clearly RobP was a joke at my expense. Ha ha!!! Farmer - very helpful levels on EU - make perfect sense. F4 - keep raking those pips in! Good luck today - also in an out today.
Thanks for the update F4. Gold keeps paying out - reading it could go wild if USD and indices both crash. Like you, I'm out of the office today.
Hi F4 - thanks agree completely. Just come back from 30 minutes with a hygienisyt at the Dentist - never had this before - and hope I never have to have again. Trading much more fun - and less painful!
F4 - yes re BB - agree re not discussing £pp - but just remember BB from last year and the inspiration it gave me to stay in Barc!!!! I know we are all supposed to trade a fix %age per trade - but I vary my £pp depending on how confident I am in the trade - as I am sometimes take strategy trades / sometimes scalps. Silver flying now - and wish I had taken at 25 as I was thinking this am but chickened out - there will be another chance ....
Re pitta bread - agree may be an omen - we've not heard about Greece for at least a few hours..... Re morning strategy - agree that is something to aspire to - trade the morning - the rest of the day relaxing - that's what life should be about! I'm starting to realise the time from 06 to 09 can be very good if one gets the levels correct.
Thanks Farmer/F4 - re EU agree it surely eventually has to admit letting Greece join was a big mistake - and no shame in admitting as their books were cooked when they joined (thus they would never have been allowed in if their true accounts had been revealed). F4 - like your style - been working for years - so why change! Hope to see a big Bertha soon!
Farmer - thanks - looks like your entry may have been a good one - as EU trying to fight back - we will see!
Short EU at 14472 as consider that now broken Resistance fimrly, will head down. SL at 505. Here's hoping!
Thanks guys - Farmer - those FIBS are sometimes excellent - sometimes nonsense - but the 61.8% is definetely the best in my opinion. F4 - agree with your logic, watching silver myself as well.
Good morning F4, Farmer - thanks for the posts - very inspirational proof that one can make profits in this game. Waiting for a possible retrace - as not convinced we can keep going up for ever today. Best regards, Rob
S - yes DAX been ok, but DOW is a strange beast today - and agree that everything is still very up in the air. Can I ask where did you obtain the EURUSD strike of 14350, as it is far more accurate than my source ! (as always)
HIiS - thanks - very useful - Yes took the profits on DAX fill - amazed it worked so well today. Also, took a small long off 800 on AU, as 800 is a very strong level. Re 16.00 Bank Fixing - do you have any more Info on this, as I recognise it clearly exists, but have never seen much on it (seen loads on 15.00 expiry time elsewhere). Also, do you know when the other fixing times are for Asia and US? Thanks, Rob
DAX gap filled! Very lucky as clearly not certain this early.
