GS View: ASOS's FY25 results demonstrated a mixed operating performance with in-line profitability offset by weaker than expected revenue growth. Specifically, the EU, US and ROW remain particularly challenging with active customers and GMV down DD, while the company's core UK market has proved slightly more resilient. We view the company's commentary around seeing improving customer engagement in FY26 to date including new customers up c.10% YoY in the UK as an incremental positive from the results. Nevertheless, we think persistent competitive pressures from Chinese Aggregators and Social Commerce will limit ASOS's ability to grow in line with the broader online channel and thus remain Sell rated.

Hmmmmm.... So a year ago they knew that they were gonna grow, but they ended up 15% down.

That went well!! I trust this management team they are doing great work.

Also it's funny that when I started this thread in September 2024 to WARN people about this dying company (and it's sneaky CEO)

-Revenue was 3bn and was expected to grow (it's now 2.5bn 😂)

-Share price was trading at double today's price

-There was so much hype that 2025 was gonna be the turnaround year. BUT WAS ANOTHER SAD YEAR FOR ASOS

Asos brand equity is non-existent and is increasingly becoming 'just another marketplace'

She's stuck in the 200s for the foreseeable. Contrast to popular belief... this is a dying company with lots of debt

I think I've made my case long ago.. This is a breakeven company

The SP will continue to linger in the 200s for another years to come... This is the new reality

Never really understood the involvement of Frasers, here or DEBS. Certainly hasn't done anything for the SP. Investor guru MA is not. The valuations of yesteryear were built largely on sentiment ("the high st is dead etc...) which has now evaporated along with any signs of profits. ASOS isn't going bang in the near future but it is questionable as to whether it can re-invent / grow / become profitable, in this saturated marketplace. Actually surprised we haven't seen much consolidation across the various offerings. Particularly, given the major holders here.
