@s6 I got caught up with the IAG RI, despite vowing to stay away. I dabbled too many times. All good in the end eventually, but missed a trick or two.
10% down isn't anything major with airline / travel stocks. On a good day / week, you could be back in profit. Equally, it can go the other way with the slightest of bad news.
Another short trading week, but 4 blue days would be a decent start.
Looking for 250p+ here and need 170p+ with IAG.
GLA
@s6
Another RI is what concerns myself.
I avoided the last one and waited for sub 250p.
Still holding, but only 4k shares and reluctant to buy more.
Hopefully back above 250p soon and not back below 200p.
GLA, be lucky.
I sold some I bought around 104p and 105p for just under 121.5p.
Still holding some I bought above 140p. See how it goes. If it drops sub 110p, I'll buy. If not, I'll wait for the climb.
Fingers crossed for a good few days from Wednesday.
My view is it's so difficult to predict too far ahead.
Just when you think it's going in the right direction, something else rears its ugly head.
At my level, I'm in too deep, but not here.
I've spread my risks and been averaging down. A good month and hopefully back in funds.
I'm worried about getting caught up with more RI's (avoided the TUI, but caught with IAG despite wanting to miss), or having to take a hit to avoid them.
Hopefully bookings will come thick and fast and with new money, rather than just via credits from previous cancellations.
God knows what the cash burn has been over the past 18+ months for many within the sector.
GLA, be lucky.
I'd love to be surprised Mary.
I kept away from the RI and waited for circa 250p. Been playing around with it on the drop, although didn't expect to see sub 200p.
Not holding much now here tbh and looking for circa 265p.
IAG is my biggest loser, I gambled on them and needing 170p+. OUCH
**** What would £4 equate to taking the RI into consideration?
Personally, I'd be surprised to see £4.
Hopefully finish the year on an upward trend and heading back to the TERP - I know people have varying prices - so at least 280p.
God knows what variants are to come and how they'll affect sp's. But, the travel sector needs a break.
GLA and may '22 be lucky.
I only play with Boo below 185p.
Yes, I missed the big times as I cashed out.
I've been playing with them again since they went sub 185p, in and out many times.
Caught this time though and a
I've been averaging down today.
Kicking myself for not taking 148p yesterday, set a target of just over 150p.
See what tomorrow brings, but my average is possibly around 140p.
Good luck, especially those sitting on big losses.
They've just raised more than €1 billion via their latest RI, so I doubt going bust anytime soon.
I couldn't see sub 200p, but didn't reckon on this new Covid issue.
Definitely something I need to consider more going forward.
I got lucky on Thursday and got out.
In and out 3 times on Friday and didn't want to hold over the weekend.
See what tomorrow brings, but I'm hoping similar to Friday.
Ri's? I've been caught too many times over many years and prefer to stay away now. Must be many sitting on paper losses who took part. Circa 1/3 down from the TERP.
