For those of you with just the one PhD (or shockingly non!!) then taking this one step further in the scenario where he's refused to sanction the scheme then we come to the Board being removed, and replaced with 2 CA placees, Wright and Craik both technical guys but with no previous public market directorship experience. Assuming the broker agrees to them being suitable directors of a listed company (yes you actually need to be approved and capable) then you have a Board where non of the Directors have any previous public market board or governance experience, other than the time ( a few months) that Maris and Chaffe have spent on the Hurricane Board....

They owe £2.5mm and even at 500bbls/day they’re in the world of going concern now they have debt.., directors can’t just say we think we can raise the cash if we need it when you have debt...
They need contingency for the 3D, they say they are going to sidetrack Biscathorpe.. 150bbls/day just won’t cover the outgoings....

Having been involved with these sort of advisors before I’d almost guarantee all in costs to deal with the restructure Evercore, PwC, ERCE, and all the associated lawyers you’re probably talking minimum £2.5/3mm could be more depending on how lawyered up everyone got....

Having commissioned many and reviewed even more, it very much depends on whose paper its written on.
If you want a particular answer then some are more malleable than others, some will in effect give you what you need as long as its not completely outrageous, they make their money mainly doing CPRs and some consulting for smaller caps,. Fact is ERCE are not one of those that can be bullied, thats why they were chosen this time. They're not stupid, they recognised the high profile nature of this work and that the previous CPR provider seems to have repetitional egg on their face and thats not a place to be if you want serious business from serious clients. In the scheme of things there's not a lot of money in servicing small cap aim oilers with a CPR of their choice if its going to screw up your real business in the advisory and doing work for the big boys and the banks...
Grumble all you like, but the 2nd CPR is not the one to focus on, and is not the area the authorities are looking... timing of announcements and the CPR on which this whole fiasco was set in motion is where they're at...

Firstly its not relevant that he has a first hand knowledge of FB because he's the CEO, ERCE employs those with the relevant skills and experience to do the work in hand. I know him and have been responsible for commissioning and reviewing work from ERCE in the past as , you might want to be very careful what you say. They didn't build their reputation for reputable independent evaluations by letting uninformed muppets on BB's suggest that they're in cahoots with management.

Bluewater are currently discussing options for the AM with other folks about a redeployment to another place as well as with HUR about an extension and the terms.
At the end of the day, as is pretty obvious, they will do what is in their own best interests... and that will be which gives them the lowest risk return. If thats a 1, 2 or 3 year extension and then move it south to a longer contract then thats what they'll do. Cant see how they would agree to a 3 year fix without penalties which wouldn't get paid, and if it suits them to do 1 year and thats it then thats what they'll do.

So just for clarity Senseman, we should be using a price that is $10 ahead of the forward strip for our analysis?
So we should calculate the next lifting at current spot plus $10? Do you think thats realistic?
Or is it only a $10 premium from 3 /6/9 months from now?
Do you think this is what real oil companies do? Do you seriously think anyone will take that analysis as anything other than overly optimistic?
