ETO's Eye In The Sky has got superb reviews and is doing well in the Americas with $10.4m to date. It's released here this Friday. Good to see Helen Mirren doing her bit to promote it on the talk shows too. And as the great Alan Rickman's last film before his death it will get added publicity. The Ricky Gervais/David Brent film is also out this H1, and the newly released trailer's pretty good. With ETO as distributor for Spielberg's The BFG this summer it could be a terrific H1 this year. The Lumineers new album Cleopatra is released today. Their 1st album sold 2.5m copies and 10m singles Eone music purchased Dueltone records earlier this year. Historic underlying EPS should be around 9.5p, up from 7.9p last year and 6.1p the year before. CAR's business is growing at an extremely fast rate. For the current year 11.5p EPS is forecast - another 21% growth. And usually management expectations are a touch higher than market expectations, so we may find that current forecasts are too low. A P/E of 11 is far too low for a business showing such growth, and with global expansion going on in the USA, India and China.

For a start, we now know that HVN had net cash of £0.2m at 31st January, compared to the £15.7m net debt quoted by EJ at the interims which is now thoroughly out of date and was caused by one-off billing and contractor timings. As an expanding global operation, particularly in the USA and Far East, and focused on the growing tech sector, HVN's prospects are surely much more favourable than to merit a P/E on acquisition of only 11. And his figures are slightly understated too - the latest forecast for the current year is 9.59p EPS from Panmure Gordon (with a 4.04p dividend), compared to his quoted 9.4p EPS.

I first recommended buying at 258p, since when the company has paid out 10.5p a share in dividends, including last month’s final payout of 4.75p for the 2015 financial year. Last week’s pre-close half-year trading update was positive enough and confirmed that the performance for the first half of the year is ahead of the comparative position last year and in line with analysts’ expectations. Both the forward order book has increased and net debt reduced too, which gives the board even greater scope for making further earnings-enhancing acquisitions. Renew’s interim results for the six months ended March 31 will be released on May 24 and I would expect more details on the order pipeline and acquisition strategy then. City investors will get a run down on the company on Thursday, when it has a Capital Markets day at The London Stock Exchange building. Bearing this in mind, the company’s contracted order book has risen from £502m at the end of September 2015 to £514m by the end of December 2015, and its engineering services order book was up by 12 per cent to £413m year on year. Tipped by Midas last April at 153p, the stock has sprinted through the past 12 months and is now 50 per cent up at 230p. The company delivered strong results last week, with 2015 revenues up 55 per cent to €58 million (£47million) and pre-tax profits 50 per cent ahead at €5.1million. The company is based in Dublin, so its figures are in euros, but the dividend is paid in pence, and is up from 1.1p to 1.21p. Brokers expect further growth this year and next, as the market continues to expand and Keywords plays an increasing role within it. Games producers are increasingly focused on designing and marketing their creations, outsourcing other functions to companies such as Keywords. Many of its competitors are much smaller, however, so Keywords is in a much stronger position, because it has expanded both organically and by acquisition and now offers a range of services from Shanghai to Seattle. Midas verdict: Keywords Studios has had an excellent year and the stock has risen by 50 per cent. However, the outlook is bright so investors should retain at least 75 per cent of their shares. New investors could pick up a few as well, particularly if they show any sign of short-term weakness."

Useful commentary on FT Alphaville on this news - with forecast peak $320m sales, and potentially a lot more, you can imagine that this would be a moneyspinner for CAR too. "RBC The FDA has accepted Vectura and commercial partner Hikma’s filing of AB-rated Advair in the US with a goal GDUFA date of 10 May; whilst the acceptance date has come within our timeline expectations the potential approval date is slightly (1 -2 months) earlier than we had anticipated. We had already assumed a Q3 launch and, with the timeline now set by the FDA, there is a risk to the upside that the launch comes earlier than we had original anticipated (we prefer to leave some headroom in our estimates, for now). Vectura is eligible for a $10m milestone payment from Hikma (1p per share on a FD basis post the merger with Skye) and a further $11m upon approval but, whilst this is only a token value to the company we see greater meaning to Vectura shareholders from the acceptance and, hopefully, approval. Vectura is set to earn a 15% royalty on sales from a product that is directly substitutable with the gold standard ICS/LABA drug (Advair) for asthma/COPD in the US which is still generating $3bn of revenues and with only 1 -2 other generic competitors likely. The year end trading update has been 14th and 15th April the last two years, so only a week to go. Finncap and Edison both go for 1.3p EPS, with 1.4p EPS for this year. With 0.6p adjusted EPS in H1 the forecasts look pretty reasonable. And H2 currency movements should be to ODX's benefit. Plus any decent progress re CD4 and allergy development is in the price for free. Nice 100,000 buy at 14.47p today has moved the price up.

The share price is moving up nicely, yet VLE is likely to have around £18m net cash against the current £19.4m m/cap - leaving the three subsidiary companies valued at just £1.4m! Bonkers. Results have been on 29th May for the last 2 years, so are starting to come into view. Without doing a precise calculation I'd have thought the JMP sale should take NAV to say 530p+ per share. On top of that is any profit earned by the Group in H2'15. Since JMP was only disposed of at the end of the period, this could be another £0.8m+, so say another 20p per share (Impetus was essentially breakeven prior to acquisition). And then there's the substantial additional value in the 3 remaining subsidiaries which has yet to be realised. This could be worth another 300p-500p depending on the eventual sale price. Giving a total NAV od some 1000p over time - even without reinvestment of the cash pile into further businesses for turnaround.

At present you can only buy a maximum 10k at the full 76p, but you can sell 35k at a nice premium at 75.36p.
